Odds went way down now, no way it hits 10k.

What were the opening odds and O/U for entrants?

Nvm, i see it now

It could be that a name pro winning the ME last year made amateurs think they have less chance.

Is this a serious response lol?

The world cup has been playing on a bunch of the TVs in the WSOP room that I’m in.

Most true fans of the Cup want to go thru the emotions and be around fellow country men and women while enjoying the matches. It's not about just being able to view the match. Just my perspective on it anyway.

Last year the combined day 2 late reg was 1050. Late reg was really popular this year in basically every tourney that ran. I'm guessing they surpass the late reg number from last year but could be wrong. I think the total entries will be in the low 9k range. 9400?

to follow up on this the last day of late reg in 2025 was about 700 of the 1050. If late reg trends towards last year the field now looks like 9200 give or take

There are already just shy of 100 people registered for Day 2D with 60k starting stack. The other even numbers around it had 5-10 people each with that stack (70k, 65k, 55k, 50k), so safe to say some double counting in your estimate.

almost 400 people have late reg'd today, most late reg entries don't pre reg.....they just show up

edit 300 people today

I hope he managed to pay Polk the $50/month he pays him in perpetuity or whatever.
That's a lot of Polk payments down the drain

You can get like 50 to 1 on a miracle of max late reg tomorrow.

Imagine the line at the cage if he final tables

I think the general economy / Crypto is the biggest factor poker tourneys in general have been lower this year, I almost felt that they set this line artificially high. There was no liquidity on this contact for a while.

Seiver is a bit insufferable with the tank/speeches. I mean we don't need a 4 min speech every time

Being in the travel sales industry I can tell you for sure less people wanna travel to the USA these days. People fucking hate Trump

I saw Scott Seiver today. He was at a different table. Very chatty guy by the looks of it.

Midway throughout the day I managed to get a top 10% chip stack and they move me to a table with a bunch of people with half the players having an even bigger stack with previous million dollar wins, rings, and braclets. That was pretty intimidating especially since I'm a 200NL cash game reg that plays online and doesn't really play live. These were some pretty sharp players too. Fortunately, I did well especially on the second to last hand of the night where I managed to win a big pot bringing the chip stack to 300,600 chips. I wanna win this thing so bad, also I really want to make the money too. The anticipation is killing me. I'm happy with the chip stack, but I also know that it is too early to celebrate, because anything can happen. I want to say I'm over 50% to make the money now, but knowing how nitty players can get at the bubble I'm reluctant to assume that. A lot of the people at this tournament are fun people to chat with which makes the experience so much better.

They sure love the amount of money he gives them for defense though.

Raymer, Yoon, Freddie Deeb all with healthy stacks at the end of Day 2ABC.

Try to find Steven Chidvick) bad run for him

He's at 60bb which isn't in that bad of shape. Only a bit less than the average stack at 87 bb. The guy in 8th place was at my table Kevin Ordet. He was scary to play against. I have a feeling he's going to make it far. The way he stares at the flop it feels like he's a human solver. Hopefully I get a softer table going into day 3.

You'll be fine, I've been told none of them can beat 200NL online.
Good luck!
