NBA 2025-26 Season Thread: THE NY KNICKS ARE CHAMPIONS! BING BONG!
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
if LeBron to cleveland, he might force a trade of harden midseason lol
i think lebron still goes to the warriors
lebron will have a press conference, steph will be there, lebron will look into steph's eyes and say "It was you. It was always you."
then they'll embrace and bro hug.
he should take bronny to sacramento

pretty much
feels like he's trolling the Decision this time around, and once he signs with the Warriors we'll quickly find out that their FO knew all along
drummond to KNACKS
Yeah let’s have Max Kellerman and Rich Paul talk about Minnesota for 3 minutes when the chances he wants to live there are nearly 0%.
Couldn’t be much more fun & different then being Unc Bron to DP & Ace imo.
But it’s obviously going to be the Warriors.
The only thing that makes me hesitate about saying that Lebron is going to CLE is what a huge attention whore he always is about free agency. It would be just like him to take photos all over Ohio and then pull out a Sixers hat or whatever on ESPN like a 5-star high school RB. But I still think it's CLE.

I kinda bought the Golden State or Miami rumors, but ending on a Cleveland homecoming tour makes the most sense. It’s the best story, and it’s the only option that will be competitive but still have LeBron as the clear star.
I think LeBron is Cleveland is a pretty bad fit and also think it is kinda laughable that you can basically pick any team in the league you wanna end up on and you wind up on 1 with Donovan Mitchell as the best player.
Perhaps some of the holdup is LeBron camp trying to get the Cavs to make some trades for the LeBron fit but the Cavs are like umm you are old we can't really appease you like that anymore. Jarrett Allen for a wing so LeBron can be the big forward/low man comes to mind.
Another move would be to get rid of Harden but that isn't easy as he has a lot of control over what he does next and he has basically no trade value anyway.
Is there a reason people are saying it'll be LeBron's last year (other than the obvious that he's very old)? Feels like a Rodgers situation.
I anticipate him playing two more years to reach 25 itl.
yeah i dont see him retiring after 26-27, especially if he positions himself on a new team (where he's happy) that has continuing title chances.
If he wanted to do a farewell tour this season I figure he would have just stayed with the Lakers, so yeah it's gonna be 2+ years (very likely just 2).
I dunno why, but I'd love to see one of these ageless greats decide to pull a Rickey Henderson and just keep playing wherever there's a spot for them until they just physically can't go anymore, just to say **** you to the record books. Would be fun to see if he can finish 10k points over Kareem.
Brady could easily have done this in the NFL if he wanted, coulda broken Blanda's record for oldest dude to throw a pass, and finished with over 100k yards or something stupid like that.

I don't think he had much of a choice with the Lakers. He maybe could've gone back there if he put his ego aside but I'm guessing "We're gonna see how this Walker Kessler/Duren big man situation works out then you will get what money is leftover in a week" just didn't work for him given he is LeBron. Seemed like Lakers were ready to move on in general though.
I think there is also something to the idea that he didn't want to walk back into the same locker room making significantly less money with a significantly diminished role. This happens a lot in the NFL when guys get cut, they would rather just go elsewhere. Klay has talked about it as well.
It's why Ray Allen went to Miami and played off the bench instead of behind Avery Bradley.
I'm gonna make a long term prediction that Luka Lakers never win anything.
Luka Lakers could get the #1 seed and still lose in the first round easily.
Brad Stevens really fu.cked up. I don't care if your ownership says deal him, you tell them they're morons and to let you do your job.
There was a legit chance that whoever missed out on LeBron (which would be MULTIPLE teams) would look to pivot to trading for Jaylen Brown, and then there'd be a mini bidding war... and you'd get back more than podcast P who isnt even rated R.
