i disagree, there are race conditions involved
if you post at 8:50, someone loads up the page at 8:53 and is scrolling through everything
if you then delete you post at 8:55 but they go to book it at 8:56, they'll successfully be quoting the deleted post because it's then cached on their webpage so then later it looks like you deleted it after they booked
and then we have a nasty he said she said situation - where people feel like they got past posted
much cleaner and removes all dispute if you just make everything a fresh post - then the race condition is explicit
