The "LOLCANADA" thread...again
So what's new?
I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet
are we actually calling them unhoused now? I refuse we have to draw the line somewhere. I have great sympathy for mental illness but its not even an offensive term "homeless"

Always hilarious how upset and offended some people get over word choices. Little snowflakes who have to deliver ultimatums about lines in the sand just because someone used a different word then them - amazing!

Your the guy that gets upset when we do not want to use your dilly pronouns ?
That's strange. When I scan the most recent conversation I see you and movintarget both getting very upset and telling us how you REFUSE and are going to DRAW A LINE over a word choice from someone else. I didn't police anyone's language. It seems the snowflakes are firmly in your camp.
lmao you sure do have a type of twitter account you like to follow huh?
I guess a video like that is perfectly calibrated engagement bait for people like you. Although I suppose you're not the type to ever buy a "Never 51" baseball cap from them, so not quite the perfect match of snark and low level political trolling.

Not upset just stating im not going to be a regard like you. I understand changing words because people get offended. but show me one example of a homeless person being offended being called homeless. lmao you can't.
"The sentiment around terminology is deeply debated. While many advocates and housed individuals prefer the term "unhoused" to underline humanity or systemic housing failures, many people who actually experience homelessness find this shift performative."
even our ai overlords are on my side with this one.
Your taking an L on this one everything I could find points to this being a failed attempt at a word change by your woke buddys that never caught on and homeless is not only acceptable but still the preferred word among homeless. source homeless people in interviews being asked what they prefer. This is like a super fringe far left take even for you.
I also just dont get the concept of changing a word thats supposed to be negative. do we want people to be homeless? Why would we want to make being homeless a good thing The whole concept of homelessness is negative. That's like saying there's a negative assosciation with the word 'murder', 'rape', or 'addiction'
I don't even think this applies to The Euphemism Treadmill

lmao could you be more triggered? These ****ing snowflakes who get so upset and write paragraph after paragraph of AI searches just because someone used a different word than them? Lol. Buddy, these was zero ask of you, just lol at this entire overreaction.
im not mad your mad! rawr XD
ai is great at looking through millions of things instantly and finding the popular answer !
The late, great P. J. O'Rourke once wrote that he thought calling homeless folks "Outdoorsmen" a good choice.
All kidding aside, California actually makes distinction between "homeless" and "houseless" (or "unhoused").
Someone literally living outside or in their car or in a shelter are considered 'homeless', while someone, say, living in an RV or living in transitional housing are considered 'houseless.'
This distinction is made so that folks literally living outside with no shelter, for example, get priority temporary housing over folks who at least are protected from the elements at night.
COPILOT AI:
Difference Between “Homeless” and “Houseless”
Homeless and houseless both describe people without stable, permanent housing, but they differ in scope, connotation, and the sense of “home” they imply.
Homeless
Definition: A broad term for people without a fixed, adequate, and regular nighttime residence. This can include living on the streets, in shelters, in cars, tents, or other non-traditional spaces Ask Difference.
Scope: Covers a wide range of unstable living situations, from unsheltered to sheltered but temporary housing Ask Difference+1.
Connotation: Often carries stigma, as it can imply a complete lack of shelter or belonging lacommunityaid.org.
Usage: Common in policy, research, and public discourse, but some advocates find it dehumanizing lacommunityaid.org.
Houseless
Definition: Refers to people who lack a traditional house but may still have some form of shelter — such as living in an RV, tiny home, tent, or transitional housing Ask Difference+1.
Scope: Narrower than “homeless” in that it acknowledges the person may have a place to stay, even if it’s not a conventional home Ask Difference.
Connotation: Avoids the stigma of “homeless” by recognizing that “home” can include community, relationships, and personal belongings, not just a physical structure Blanchet House+1.
Usage: Gained popularity among advocates and some organizations to center dignity and human rights Blanchet House+1.
Key Distinction
Homeless = no stable, permanent residence (can include no shelter at all).
Houseless = no traditional house, but may have temporary shelter and a sense of home Blanchet House+1.
Why the shift matters
Language shapes perception and policy. Using “houseless” can reduce stigma, emphasize that people still have community and belonging, and guide support toward securing stable, long-term housing rather than just shelter lacommunityaid.org+1. However, both terms describe serious housing insecurity, and the best choice often depends on context and the person’s own preference Invisible People.

Homeless or unhoused who cares yes there are a small % of folks that have fallen through the cracks but the majority of them are garbage of society with drug addiction issues . Personally let's just let natural selection take over and stop wasting $ on them . Though also let's have capital punishment for the likes of the Sakler family and jail long term drug dealers
I dont care you care!!!! rawr!!! were fighting like 5 year olds now gj. clearly you care enough to try to argue for the proper pronouns of a homeless person. your being laughed at

lmao no I didn't argue a single thing about "homeless" vs "unhoused" vs "person experiencing homelessness". Not a word. I didn't suggest what you should say at all. You totally flipped out and lost your **** about someone else's word choice despite ZERO suggestion or argument at all that anyone else should use one or the other.
Who knew of the two of us you are the snowflake word policer.
thats totally what happened you didnt engage with me and freak out on my take for like your last 7 posts. I was like drunk watching the nba finals. very happy at the time watching my boy og win. but na i was furious GRRRRRRR. this is textbook projection

Also notice how I never once talked about you using the word. My acual words were paraphrased like "well I didn't know that was a thing but im not going to do it" and said nothing about your right to do it. I literally didn't know calling people homeless was a thing in your world and was surprised. you kind of jumped to a conclusion there and got defensive thinking I care if you say it I just think its hilarious and was laughing at your use of it.
Somehow you raged about me saying you can't use a word when all I said was Im not going to use it. its dumb lol. show me where I said you can't use that word which seems to be why your triggered.
This is some textbook gaslighting. you use a word we say its dumb and won't be using it and you go on a tirade about how were snowflakes for trying to take away your right or were mad your using a word. Like you realize were laughing at you right? There was no anger just cheers! i want you to keep using the word its funny.
My ai quote was to show the word never actually caught on in popular culture like words in The Euphemism Treadmill like intellectual disability and the word "unhoused" is still not popular Ive never heard of it to show how funny your being. but by all means use whatever word you want but im free to laugh at it
My goodness why are you still on your tirade? Paragraph after paragraph all triggered because someone used a different word than you lmao what a snowflake!
i enjoy making you mad what can i say it makes me happy ! deflection deflection. we are acually in a 12 year old argument huh.
YOUR MAD BRO!
NO YOUR MAD BRO!
Uh lol buddy only one of us wrote paragraph after paragraph fuming about someone else’s word choice. This is allllllllll you.
meep meep
