He knew it was a 'Totenkopf' associated with the SS. He claims it was widespread in the US military figured it was not that offensive.

If you're a corrupt ghoul who actually would have gone along with the Nazis had you been there, you can be a first degree rapist and msn and your party will over look it.

Run on an anti corruption platform and msm and your own party (either one) will launch massive smear campaigns about how you told a racist joke in 8th grade.

Good point. Or you had a Nazi symbol. When I was in 8th grade, the Nazis were the villains from Indiana Jones.

It's very common edgelord ish. For example, Slayer used lots of Nazi imagery. This is precisely because Nazis are the default bad guys in movies and so forth. There are also many people who use satanic imagery, but very few actually worship lucifer.

I guess you could argue the tattoo is in bad taste. And that a person who did something in bad taste when they were 19 should never hold office. The reason for that would be the Nazis murdered many innocent people.

But it's kind of weird to think that the tattoo is worse than actually performing the act of murdering many innocent people.

idk about that deaths head, but nearly all of their imagery is borrowed from older stuff and i think it's absurd that certain symbols are now considered verboten, it's now pretty common for places to cover up their swastikas that predate nazism which is a fairly common buddhist and native american symbol

On my Saturday session I was a firsthand witness to the most amazing run I've ever personally seen in our little 1/3 NL game. I moved to a well known action player's table when he had about $1200 in front of him, but he went down to about $200... and then in a matter of 4 hours he ran it up to $4200 (a unicorn stack size in our daytime game), where he then left pretty much at his peak. 100% VPIP, at the very least he cracked AA x4, KK x1, JJ x1, etc. Was amazing. I only lost $332, which was probably the second best result at the table over that time. Lolz @ pokr.

Back from a week plus of medieval headkicking and way too much driving. Brother-in-law got a major award up in Minnesota, so first drove from banjoland to there, then down to Kansas City for our usually June medieval week. Took it pretty easy, but I did enter two tournaments. I won the smaller one (a memorial for a member who had passed) and made the finals in the big one, so I'm pretty pleased. I'm not the fighter I once was, but I'm still pretty good.

Feely on a great donkament run in his TR, if you've missed it. Not the WSOP Seniors that is his main reason to be there, I don't think. Looks like a $1.1K at the Venetian.

Every time I see a UFC fight between fighters with a big age discrepancy they always flash the stat of how the younger fighter wins at about a 65% clip.

No divisions or weight classes in my sport. But age is not as much of a determinator as it is in other martial arts. I don't have the footwork I used to have, and my conditioning is down a bit, but other than that I'm still pretty good. I'm probably not as fast as I used to be either, but I'm smoother than I used to be, which makes up for speed a lot.

Sitting in my 1/3 NL game last night.

Mid game, the dood next to the dealer throws the dealers 4 reds and asks for 20 whites. Dealer accommodates him.

Next hand, dood raises to $15 preflop... using all whites.

Happy Juneteenth, degens. I hope you are enjoying the silliest named holiday of the year. As a drain on the taxpayers, I took advantage of the day off to do some work on my wife's car I'd been putting off.

Job one: new speaker covers. Of course you have to take apart the door to do that, don't be silly. It was actually a pretty straight forward job though.

Job two: rear brakes. The sensor went off, even though the pads look like they have half their life left in them, leading to an annoying service light complete with flashing and sound effects on start-up. I'm not paying $500 to remove and replace two sets of brake pads! Step one, loosen lug bolts (yes, bolts on a Mini, not nuts). Turns out I should have paid the $500 just for that. Third bolt I got too wouldn't break free. So I got a breaker bar and tried again. The socket kept slipping off the nut head. So I thought to myself, "self, if you move the iron up so you're pulling instead of pushing, you can use one hand to hold the socket on." This did not work. The iron slipped off yet again, and I smashed myself in the head with the end of the breaker bar. So here I sit with a big bump on my forehead with a one-inch gash in the middle of it. So glad I saved myself a little money by doing it myself...

happy holiday. i found another gem of a poker game down the street from my crib. it plays like an early season of High Stakes Poker with $1/2 blinds. I guess I will just play tight solid, but I've never played in a game as laggy as this where guys showdown awful cards religiously.

Remember the old remit. Play the opposite to the table

This is actually a sick way to tilt people in going to have to try this sometime

It actually extremely tilted the dealer, who is the most tilty dealer in the room, so I rather enjoyed the hilarity of it all.

Job two: rear brakes.

Recently had my vehicle in to get it's brakes done (they were acting fine but scheduled to get replaced). Took the shop *six* attempts to get them to the point where they no longer squealed (my guess being using inferior parts). Thankfully all of the non-initial visits were on their dime, but it was a life scheduling headache (my wife and I joking that every Wednesday evening / Thursday morning for the rest of our lives was going to be dropping off / picking up the vehicle).

Anyone else in a World Cup host city? Actually gonna take the day off tomorrow and venture into the city to take in the vibe for the big game. Will likely be an overcrowded gong show, but also feel it's kinda a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity I shouldn't pass up.

It’ll be almost assuredly a gong show. From the comfort of my couch I watched the Scots drink Boston dry and then take that party to Miami.

The Norwegians with their sections of people rowing looks fun too.

If you have the right squads in your respective town, I bet it’s a blast.

Swiss-Canada for first in group B and 4 extra days off could be interesting.

Went to the Scotland/Morrocco match on Saturday. The match itself was a snooze fest, with the only goal scored in the first 2 minutes and both squads playing defensively after that. My son lives in Boston and he knew all the Scottish chants. Lots of heavy drinking going on, so emergency supplies made it in. Our section had our own piper playing. So it was a great experience.

YMMV.
