USA Goes to War Against Iran

How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
Why wouldn't he?
- Obama presided over utter disasters (first Ukraine invasion with ZERO response when it could have been easily dissauded, arming ISIS and creating that little monster, emboldening and funding Iran)
- Biden presided over letting the second Ukraine invasion happen with horiffic weakness ("US troops will never be in Ukraine" - way to give Putin a green light while he's building up you moron), and the emboldening of Iran again which caused the whole start of the Gaza war via their unrestricted proxy funding (Trump cowed them his first term by killing their loved general).
Even on foreign policy alone, Trump is miles ahead of his predecessors - even if Iran is a giant mistake.
The real question is, why wouldn't you vote for Trump on foreign policy given that he's objectively better than the last two presidents before him, even given Iran?

During the first Ukraine invasion Obama slapped massive sanctions along with Europe on Russia and kicked them out of the G8 - no way Putin could be easily dissuaded considering he was ready to tank Russia's economy, global isolation and risk total war just for Crimea. Then when he invaded the last time under Biden, Biden spent weeks/months beforehand warning everyone - of course he was never going to send troops in unless you want a nuclear war. What has Trump done? Quite the opposite withdrawn a lot of support and is trying to force a terrible deal on Ukraine which benefits Putin and gives him an awesome ROI on the whole venture! Also, there was that whole saga in Trump's last term of delayed military aid to Ukraine to pressure Zelenskyy for political dirt.
Trump emboldened Iran after pulling out of the nuclear agreement and insisting on maximum pressure, which has led to speeding up of their nuclear programme and increased aggression through their proxies in the region. And just look at the fine mess he is in now!

Both Middle East disasters, Hamas and the Iran conflict trace back to the disaster of the Abraham accords. At the time they were supposed to weaken them and make them desperate for negotiation but in both cases it’s lead to war. Hawks are happy with the bumbling but most Americans would have preferred Trump just stayed out is the region entirely. As bad as Trump has been domestically (bottom 5 all time in historical rankings) he’s been ever worse in foreign policy.

It really can’t be overstated how disastrous the last 3 years have been for Iran’s proxies. Hezbollah had all their leaders blown up in a single blow. Iran was desperately trying to broker a ceasefire for them but obviously that’s not going to happen. Hamas used to be tied directly to the UN, generating millions upon millions in stolen funds for their leaders and operations. Now they can rule over a pile of rubble. Houthis have been sabre rattling for months without taking any meaningful actions.

This is the exact clown-level thinking that led to Ukraine being invaded in the first place. Putin preys on people like you; you are his useful puppet as much as many Republicans are.
Putin built up in 2018 for invasion too, 100K troops and thousands of tanks. Trump threatened to bomb Moscow if he invaded, said he wanted peace during his presidency and he wouldn't stand for it. Putin backed down and called it an "exercise". He tried again in 2022 with a clown president in charge who greenlit the invasion with his weakness.
I can't begin to express the contempt I have for your horrifically weak thinking. Putin doesn't want nuclear war. None of the elites do. They have wives and girlfriends and kids and villas all over Europe and the US. Are they going to nuke their own kids? This isn't the cold war with strong ideologies and hair trigger "nuke first", stop thinking like it is. Like Obama famously said to Romney when he said Russia was our greatest threat: "The 1980s called and want their foreign policy back".
Putin pushes into weakness, and preys on the weak like you, including saber rattling nuclear war every time there's something he doesn't want. It works great against morons (left wing think tanks, politicians and press), but it's not real. Every "red line" that Putin didn't want crossed and has been crossed - like deep strikes into Russia - he does absolutely jack ****.

Again, deterring before the war when Putin was doing his calculus of risk and testing responses, and entering troops to directly fire on entrenched Russian positions after years of war are two entirely different things. How can you not understand this on a poker forum? Unreal
