LVL Regs WSOP planning & meet up thread

@Mods....if you agree, maybe this might go in the stickys?

Both to manage (and potentially add to) my growing excitement

Hmmmm...white dude, short Asian woman, VincentVega. Well played, sir!

But wasn't it Butch Coolidge (played by Bruce Willis) who was with the short Asian woman, and ultimately caused the demise of Vincent Vega (played by John Travolta) when returning to his apartment for a certain gold watch that had a certain sentimental value

With a MAC-10, no less. I have a friend that used to have one.

Hey all, I am an occasional writer of Vegas TRs (see here in 2021 as Vegas reopened and again last fall), though I've never done one during the WSOP.

I wasn't planning to this summer, but after re-reading these and enjoying a lot of details I'd completely forgotten -- maybe I get inspired to do so next week. Either way, I'll be in Vegas staying at Paris June 10-15 and playing many of the same events as rppoker -- and others, I suspect. Would be happy to say hi or grab a drink.

Have I missed a set date time place determi⁹nation in this thread?

I'm pretty sure Butch's girlfriend was French.

She was def French. Lemon pie!

Moving from the Midwest to SoCal def made me realize something (as a white guy especially): dont date white chics.

People had mentioned Horseshoe and just having a running game, but there's been no confirmation. I remember there's a lot of us staying Paris/Shoe this coming week so its a good time.

I put down the bottle a few years ago, but id def have to drink a few bourbons in that game.

I thought about organising something but just decided it would be too hard with us all playing mtts.

In the next 36 hours, I'll go back through the thread & update the OP with Mark's help to list all the attendees & then perhaps we can work through a few easy places/times to meet.

I was going to (admittedly selfish) suggest maybe a late morning meetup Wednesday June 16. I’m firing Seniors on Monday and Wednesday is off day (if I’m still in….if not, I’m still available during that time). Maybe somewhere mid strip-ish, lounge or somewhere else easy for people to come and go - not regimented like a sit down meal.

My thinking is evenings can be tough with tourney grind (or cash too) and late mornings might be prior to the next tourney start or cash games moving. Maybe an open time window of 2 hours to make it easier (10-12, 11-1).

Just a thought…not too early but before most action kicks in for the day.

Morning meetup sounds great to me

In town 6/14 - 6/20. Playing WSOP Senior and maybe Milli. Looking at other NL events in town.

Anybody interested in some morning Pickleball?
I’m an intermediate player - I play for the sweat and a few laughs. Sunset Park is a short Uber away from strip with plenty of courts.

I'm coming in Sunday June 14 and have no plans for after the Golden Knights game 6 (assuming there is one) -- would love an evening meet-up after the hockey game next Sunday night somewhere mid-strip, including near Paris (I have to verify my identity @ WSOP to use the App for registration at some point - but don't have to be sober for that). Cheers!

OK so....I think this is the up to date list with as much info as I can access.

With apologies to gigman & a few others...the thread title says 'regs' so I haven't included your dates in the list if I've never heard/seen of you on here/you have less than 100 posts. This does NOT mean you aren't welcome to come say hi or meet up with any/others etc...quite the opposite, I'm always up to meet anyone & this is a super friendly & supportive forum....just that I am too lazy to write up your dates! (sorry)

So it seems to me that the best crossover dates for the most itineraries for a group meet up would be 10th/11th June. I will be flying in from Australia on the 10th & will no doubt be rooted but I will definitely be up & about by late pm. I'm too busy to organise anything & don't at all know the Horseshoe/Paris to suggest a place but perhaps there's a central place someone else who is there already/will be there in advance could suggest to meet?

But of course it may be easier to PM people you 'know' well & arrange separate meetings closer to the time? idk

May yolo it and come in on the 19th to catch Burning Spear at the Brooklyn Bowl and possibly hit the Milly Maker, too. Working out logistics, wingmen, etc. No promises...

Sorry, I can't make that.

Out of the $500 Freezeout in level 10. I was doing okay, with 60k chips when average was in the 40's. I hate flush draws, I never hit them, never. They always hit them. I was chasing a flush, again, and this guy kept calling. With pocket 4's (fourth pair) all the way to the river. Maybe I should've shoved at some point. Then 2 more badly played hands, and I was out. Thinking about just going home, poker is less than fun right now.

OMG - so so many trip reports! Such a shame to have them all crammed into the same 2 weeks when we're starving for content much of the year

I'm considering doing my one as a retrospective one.

anyone i play with regularly on wsop interested in meeting up to play some live cash while the series is in town? Reply or hmu 😀

And I'm OUT of the Colossal in Level 7 when I lost half my stack when I flop top 2 only to get rivered by an ace by a guy with 2 better pair. Then lost the rest of it when I flop top pair, but another guy flops a set.

And I'm OUT of the Daily Seniors Deepstack in level 11. Pretty much couldn't get anything going and I ran out of chips. I didn't even make a hand until level 9.

Trip has been a gigantic ohfer.

You lasted longer than I did in the Deepstack

How about The McNuts... there's a drooler in my game that says that ALL the time.

Pro Tip:

Your key expires when it's check-out time, in the CET system anyway. If you arrange a late checkout, you need to go to the front desk on checkout day for them to re-code your room key. If you don't and leave your room after 11 am, you can't get back into your room. Guess how I know.
