…UP!!!

We were at the time. We cashed out after 4 1/2 hours. Down $2.

That’s a win.

Next stop TBD.

by prairiebreeze

I hadn’t heard that ever but I’m 3 hours in…

And we’re _____ $12.

see?
the proof is in putting it in good

My buddy (who busted the 800 NL at Aria before the first break, did not rebuy and got wrecked in PLO cash instead) and I headed to the Mixed Game festival.

I lost 130, he was down 200+ when I left to grab dinner and he’s leaving to go play 20-40 limit.

I’m having dinner. More to come.

A bird just crapped on my arm. FFS.

by REDeYeS00

the bird is just what you needed to turn things around, it did you a favor (just watch).

by AzOther1

I always heard that was good luck?

When wife and I were honeymooning over in Greece (her home country) back in the day, she was having a meh morning as we were wandering around the island of Mykonos when a bird **** on her. She told me how that was good luck and her day improved immensely after that.

May many more birds **** upon you, gogogo!

Day 4 recap:

Aria was fine, but the game was playing super small-ish. I actually made a ton of hands but the pots were so small I just couldn't build a stack. Mixed Games round 3 cost $130 - my buddy lost more before he moved to 20/40 limit. I'm good with it because those games were fun, talkative, and what poker should be more often. FUN. There's a twitter pic from the Cardplayer Lifestyle account that I'll add here as proof that I was there. Weirdly, there's like 3 other photos where you can see my hand but no more.

Had dinner with TJ, rppoker, MrBaseball, and Uncle Feely. Another true highlight to meet 4 awesome people. My honour and privilege to spend time with you fellas. Hope all of you have great runs in tournaments.

Feely advised me to just YOLO what I had left. I tried, but the casino gods seemed to want me to go home with a fraction of what I came with.

Summarized Results total (today's result):

Video Poker: -575 (-100)
Craps: -1750 (0)
Poker: -1281 (-132)
Slots: -1612 (-450)
Sports Betting: -190 (0)

TOTAL: -5,408 (-682)

Coronas: 14 (+5 today)

I'm just about to head to the airport, so a few more post script posts will surely follow this one.

We do have a final sweat though: I did get my $200 bet on the Bengals to win the Super Bowl at +2200 odds. The last time I did a bet like this, they had the lead at the 2 minute warning in the Super Bowl (thanks Evil Ron Torbert).

Vegas got me pretty good this time. Had five 80/20s in poker that did not hold (basically a 3K-ish swing if all 5 held instead), and everything else gambling wise was hellaciously bad. But it's always the other stuff that matters the most. The people you meet, the fun games/things you get to do. The stuff you don't get to do at your local casino that Vegas is more than willing to supply to help you scratch that itch.

In 178 days, I will be back. With a new plan. For revenge.

Look Ma! I’m playing mixed games!

That’s Henry in the TCH shirt and Nancy to his left. 2 lovely and very experienced mixed game players. They played the $1500 HORSE yesterday.

Weirdest photo of my trip. Saw this while having breakfast at PH with my buddy on Tuesday.

Is that a squirrel on top of her head?

-255 playing 1/3 NL at BellagioNow in the mixed game streets again. Going better than yesterday. Today’s games:

No expense spared from Bellagio for the game plaques! (we get the same hand written post it note plaques in the 80 mix as well)

Nice to meet you mate. Safe travels heading home

Nope. Gonna have to look a bit closer.

Sorry the photo is a tad blurry. I usually sneak photos like this and they don’t always come out clean.

I don’t think the sets we were using are Bellagio’s but they may have been in the past. The organizers brought boxes with them each day that had those plaques in them.

I did get my buddy to fold a 98 face up in 2-7 TD last night when I made it 4 bets on the end. I couldn’t help myself from windmilling my J9754. First words out of his mouth when we met at the airport this morning “I can’t believe you made it 4 bets with a Jack… no wonder you’re down 5K!”

He might be partly right. But no regrets about doing it.

Safe travels back, pb. Thank you for the interesting TR.

I also can't make out what she's wearing.

Sitting on the plane now.

I’ll post the answer in a few hours.

If you zoom in and look at her forehead you might see that a duck bill is covering this lady’s forehead.

A damn duck. Just amazing.

Great trip report, so great to get to see you this trip!

Thanks for sharing.

That's a first! Also, what's with the dude in the foreground's left leg? Looks like elephantitis or something.

There's a 10x multiplier in August.

There's a chick walking behind him.

Was the duck alive?

Sorry the rungood wasn't better this summer, but sounds like you had a fun trip still.

2 minutes before this the 2 people working at the kiosk asked her about the duck. She quickly takes the duck off her head, puts it on the ground and it starts waddling and squawking like it owns the place. So very much alive. When she put it back on her head, it just sits there quietly. Truly bizarre.
