NL2 6-max - KK OOP in a 3-bet pot on A-high board

Hero (100bb) SB with KK

CO (101bb) is 17/17 over 43 hands (small sample, no other reads).

Preflop: CO opens to 3.5bb, Hero 3-bets to 13bb, BB folds, CO calls.

Flop (27bb): A J 7

Hero c-bets 7bb (~26% pot), CO calls.

Turn (41bb): 6

Hero checks, CO bets 29.5bb (~72% pot).

Hero?

Thought process:

* I went for a small range c-bet, but I'm not sure if this is the best approach. Since this board interacts reasonably well with Villain's calling range, would checking be better? Or, if betting is preferred, should I be using a larger sizing instead of 26% pot?
* After Villain calls the flop, I felt KK was mostly a bluff-catcher.
* Facing a 72% pot bet on the turn against a 17/17, I thought his range was heavily weighted towards Ax and strong draws, with very few bluffs.

Questions:

1. On this flop, do you prefer checking KK, or betting? If betting, what sizing?
2. After the flop call, is turn check/fold standard versus this profile?

I prefer checking, since I don't expect my opponent to bluff and they might let me see the turn more often than they should. But a small bet is not terrible, they will call a J and maybe a pocket pair with a club. Turn looks like an easy x/f, move on to the next hand.

Thanks. That's helpful.

So is the main idea that checking is higher EV because this player type won't bluff enough when checked to, but will also check back a lot of worse hands?

If he does bet after we check, are you still calling one street with KK, or do you think his betting range is already too Ax-heavy at NL2?
