The sale on soda cans has gotten worse at Kroger
I was at my local Kroger store (Smith's) and went to purchase a 12-pack of 12-oz cans of my favorite carbonated drink. They are still $11.99 (so $1/can) but in the previous couple of months they've had a sale where you buy 3 and get 3 free. So you grab 6 and only pay for 3 of them. I noticed recently that they are now buy 2 get 1 free, so if you grab 6, you're paying for 4. They are still $11.99 per 12-pack.

Try Walmart. If same, buy some investment stock of Coca-Cola.
Strange, still buy 3 get 3 at the version of Kroger here.
Sometimes on summer holiday weeks, they'll have a (slightly) better offer, so I'll stock up a bit then.
