Most pathetic line of thinking ever.....I'd like to see Arsenal play better football after spending £1bn on their squad!

Really?

I'm only watching as a neutral, I don't want to watch what should be a super team battle for every point V Bournemouth/Sunderland/Brentford or park the bus V other elite teams. I want to be entertained! I know, pathetic for a football fan to have such views.

Ta for this, I like the honesty.

But some right and some wrong here.

The beautiful champagne Arsenal sides that were built with massive money at the time won **** loads and done the same in CL final and they were great to watch.

Is it interesting to watch as a neutral? No. Is it effective? Obviously.

I'm sure Chelsea fans were really sad in the mid-2000s.

Only effective because City shat the bed in PL and it wasn't very effective last night seeing as they got the loser medals.

I doubt they'll retain their title playing the same way.

What it has also done is made half the PL teams copy the hoofball long throwin set piece ****. Bringing football backwards 30 years.

They lost on penalties and for the most part while second best kept arguably the best side in the world to mostly long low percentage shots.

You can only beat who is ahead of you. No premier league title counts more than any other, not like Man City get an extra notch in the record books for beating the 97 point Liverpool team.

Not to mention they won the league by 7 points in the end.

They made a game of it when they made late changes after 80 mins and could have won it with a few chances.

I just think with the resources spent it's ridiculous that the best they can do is play to restrict teams. I've already said it, they've spent enough that they should have the squad to go toe to toe V any team and look good while doing so.

Didn't they score the second most goals in the premier league or am I misremembering that

With 19 goals from corners lol

25 from set pieces total plus 4 penalties.

Sort of proves my point.

All the other £1bn teams have lots of players that get you on the edge of your seat while watching like Krava, Salah,Vini Jr, Diaz etc. Arsenal have none of that.

Goals from corners don't count any more. Got it.

Who are you arguing with if you are just going to ignore the one point I've made repeatedly?

Arsenal bore me to tears because they play for set pieces hoofball long throw ins constantly and do not play anything that resembles the same kind of football that the elite teams do.

Haven't said a thing about goals from corners not counting. Have said plenty about wanting to be entertained by what should be a super team but instead I get to watch Stoke 2.0.

So in the end what is the point of spending £1bn to play hoofball? So they can battle for every point in PL - that's worth it?

Arguing with this. They won the league. Also came within a hair's breadth of winning the CL. Seems like a decent "point".

not to derail the interesting debate that is going on but the first-Mourinho tenure of Chelsea was actually a lot more fun than people give it credit for. I enjoyed it

Elite defense sure but the "busparking" etiquette only came later in Mourinho's career

Both the 05 & 06 title winning teams scored more goals than Arsenal did this year in the league (and that's not even accounting for open-play goals)

I wish my team played so rubbish they won the league and played a CL final

Basically every team built with £1bn have won a title or multiple titles and done ok in the CL, all while being able to play football.

Bayern played football, conceded 6 and didn’t make the final.

Good job Bayern!

The rest is just gibberish and lol at the “spent money” point. Who hasn’t?

And were a penalty away from winning it.

Imagine being so thick you hate on that.

Well there was an ignored handball penalty (at least twice) that meant they would have got nowhere near extra time or penalties.

Bayern miles better than Arsenal ffs, making the final (in easy half of draw) doesn't make Arsenal better. Only someone really thick would try to make that claim.

Arsenal play the worst style of football imaginable and I'm willing to bet they don't retain their PL title or win CL next season.

Wanna call me thick, put money where your mouth is.

And the teams that spend real money are usually able to play football.

Something that is sorely lacking at Arsenal.....hoofball is not football.

The best team from the best league in the world have to park the bus v a bunch of garlic farmers.

An achievement my bollocks.

Catch yourselves on ffs.

115 FC fans truly a special kind of ******ed. Can’t even follow a conversation.

Less spamming more reading next time.

I’ll bet on Arsenal retaining the title btw if you want, you thick spastic.
