Quantum Entanglement (A Love Story)
5c/10c, AKA "nl10", is effortless to run over. My strats feel tightly wound and compact and I barely have to use any conscious thought.
Just put the nail in the coffin of another PBG thread.
One that happened to be my own.
I cannot / Will Not be contained!
My mind is blown.
I upgraded my Nintendo Switch/PC gaming controller with the new Switch 2 Pro Controller. I did it because my right thumb slips around on the stick of the OG controller. I didn't realize I could buy covers for them on amazon which is very stupid of me.
However. There is an audio jack at the bottom of the new controller that I got. "What's this? There is no way game audio can be played via my controller, there is just no way..."
But it's the case. State of the ****ing ART. Next level stuff, I'm excited.
Thank you again for imparting such wisdom ITT.
Booked a Vegas trip.
Feels good.
Poker game feels good.

***Another Tip For The Aspiring Live Poker Professional***
If you find yourself regging the softest game you've ever played in, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, try your hardest to run over the majority of the weakest players. Especially if they are not giving you a headache in game. Let them have their fun most of the time. When you stack them, don't always do it with the nuts. Show down middling hands in big pots on more than occasion.
This goes for home games, and other types where you see the same people every day.
I am winning at > 10bb/hr confidentely (imo). I also have a low VPIP, and sit out most bomb pots, which people have taken notice to.
If people hated playing with me, I'm not sure I could win 10bb.
I don't need people to love or enjoy me at the table. Just as long as I'm always viewed as an average opponent to them, even with the capacity for some nutty looking plays, I'll be fine.
There's a guy Marco in the game all the time. Nice guy, about my age. Has a lot of heart, lets it bleed on the table. Total fish. In 45 hours of play I don't think I've played hardly any pots with him. I could easilly bumhunt him, float his bets, check raise him, constantly applying pressure only on him, while being my 'cool and collected self', leaching EV off of him like a live-host parasite. But that would be stupid. I'm going to be playing with him all summer long, and maybe for the next few years. The winning play is to only occasionally bump into him at the table, while being nice and saying supportive things most of the time I play.
When I get owned, which I allow myself to more often than if I was at a casino or online, I always show my losing cards and remind the table that I'm an idiot player.
Tonight I called someone's $110-all-in on the turn with Ahi+gutshot and I rifled my cards across the table for everyone to see before the River was dealt.
I really think half or more of the players I play against "don't want to be mean" with their poker play.
That's fine with me. I face many marginal situations intentionally, but no definitely tough spots or players. It's jumping into a ball-pit of EV that I use a hungry-hungry hippo to collect.
I'm constantly ****ing up, and then accidentally winning a bunch against these hominids.
And then there are stretches where I play perfectly and unleash my inner psycho. But I don't have to be like that all the time, just enough to remember how much farther ahead I am than they are at NLHE.
I'm playing Saturday night for my 5th game of the week. I may drive an hour to Toledo on Sunday to put a mother ****ing feather in my cap.
In 45 hours of play I haven't seen the floor called once.
The dealers are very nice and treat the players extremely well. This is so refreshing, given my good WR coupled with this I do not mind tipping exorbitantly whatsoever.
When I get a full double up I tip $5.
I often pick a dealer to hand a dollar bill to on my way out.
When I arrive I greet the poker room managers and tell them it's nice to see them.
When I leave they say goodbye to me and call me buddy.
One time at Venetian, I kid you not, this ****ing dementor cock**** of a dealer actually raised his voice to get my attention when it was my turn to act. He did this because I had headphones on, but I wasn't listening to anything, so I was essentially getting yelled at.
I have a friend who wins 15bb/hr long term at $1/3.
He and I agree that it's usually not easy. Even for him, it's still a challenging game.
some goober turned to me and said
"you havent played any hands yet"
me: cool
10 mins later i made quads against him
he switched off lmao
i cant imagine being so bad at poker that someone seemingly over folding is actually bothersome. especially in games where most players are fish.
