My results of grinding 2NL 5NL 10NL 25NL 50NL 100NL
Hello everyone, I want to share with you my 20 days result with 50$ deposit on GGpoker
2NL was awful, after like 15k hand
If people are chucking in 200bb preflop with TT and AK then it definitely sounds worthwhile sitting in those games. Not sure how you're losing in games where people are doing that.
I mean given dead money in the middle, stacking off AK and TT at some frequency is prob GTO, even moreso when you look at size of 3bets and 4bets

I'm just looking at the rage-tilt hands. BTN opens to 3.5bb, Blazar 3bet to 19.5bb and then BTN hits him with the 4bet to 38bb. Blazar shoves for an extra 172bb. It wasn't like there was dead money in the middle.
I don't know about GTO, but in a 100bb effective game i'm not sure TT is really a 4bet / stack off. At 210bb effective stacks, making a 4bet and calling a 5bet jam with TT has to be really marginal?!?
Similar with the KQ / AK hand. Blazar cold 4bet from BB. Then AK basically 5bet half a stack and Blazar 6bet jammed for another 111bb. Yes....once you stick in half your stack on a 5bet then probably have to close your eyes and call the shove hoping to see QQ/JJ or AK. I just can't imagine many worse hands should be making that shove.
Maybe they've got Blazar tagged or there was some meta-game and they sensed he was tilting.
Another disaster of a day, my adjustments probably aren't working, beating nl100 has become quite a challenge.
Gonna take a few days off and come up with a new plan.

Was it a disaster because you ran bad or disaster because you played bad? Try not to get caught up in 1 days worth of results.
As a fellow NL100 grinder when i find myself in a bumpy stretch i revert to baseline and play a simple TAG style with stats in the 18/15/6 range and regain confidence and then my game slowly opens up and play exploitative laggier depending on villains at the table.

Well, where i play (9max deep antes) pool shrinks after nl100 and many players from 200nl 500nl mix 100nl too, i think this pool needs different approach compared to 50nl because usually 50nl players mix between 25nl and 100nl but after 100nl players mix from much higher stakes
My confidence to beat 100nl was too high that it blinded me, now i know i need to change something for sure, actually it's good, nothing should come easy.
Week update:Roll went from 7.9k$ to 6.9k$ (-1k$) -1k$ week downswing for nl100 can't be that terrible i guess? but what could go wrong has went wrong this week, i don't remember last time when i had such a terrible experience, whatever we move on next.Btw this day opened my eyes how brutal can be variance, especially when you expecting a win and suddenly one river card can cha
Roll dropped from 6.9k$ to 6.6k$ (despite 440$ BBJ share win) yeah i lost a lot again then withdrew 300$ for life expenses and roll at 6.3k$ now

I've made some strat changes, still working on it right now.
What were some of the changes
I don't think you're genuinely interested in my success, looking at your previous replies you're the person more like interested in my downfall lol
Anyway to answer your question: some strategic adjustments to better exploit the pool, including range changes, sizing changes and some postflop betting changes.
I started 100NL with around $8,000 and am down about $2,000 so far. The pool is crushing me right now, but I'm hoping to turn things around.
I think having solid fundamentals and keeping your cool no matter what the RNG throws at you are the 2 main ingredients for winning.
When you have a good baseline you are able adjust quickly to different type of villains. Having a pre made plan or a blanket pool based strategy fits more to spins and other similar type games.
In your games you sit long time at the table with same guys, ideally should pick up good info and make adjustments on the go. gl
You seem to really overvalue some hands relative hand strength which at 200bb depth seems very dangerous to win rate.
Good luck with the changes , enjoy the thread and the transparency!

Agreed, thanks mate will try my best.
Nowadays online poker isn’t easy at 100nl, if it was easy everyone would be making good living out of it, right?
Basically i have 200$ on each table, my games are playing 200bb deep, sometimes i have 9 tables open simultaneously, it’s not a joke anymore, there is a potential good money to be made if i beat it.

You’re correct, also a lot of punts which are destroying my win rate. There is a lot room to improve which is great, i will for sure improve.
Thanks for the good luck, can’t wait to play tomorrow and see how it goes.
Why GG and not other sites/clubs?
What do you do the 4 days of the week you're not playing poker?
Since i came back to poker i played only on GG, basically grinded from 2NL to 100NL, volume was always good and i was successful so never bothered to play on other sites.
Usually I play 13 hour sessions whenever i play to maximize leaderboard rewards and rakeback, so i need to take few days off here and there, tried to play 4 day and rest 3 but my sweet spot seems like to rest 4 days and play 3, it's good as long as it's consistent in the long term and the volume goals are met.
Should just play every day in the evenings and put in additional hours on the weekend.
You might finish lower on the leaderboard but I imagine over the week it will be similar money once you add it up.
If you want to be a pro then you need to put in the table time. Strategising is clearly not getting you far and what you need is experience / volume. Your money is coming from rakeback and bonuses = play more!
Or just play 1 day and study 6 so you lose less money.

I play 40 hours per week, consistently without difficulties, plus i have bunch of free time to study, thanks of the advice but i like to do it my way.
honestly if you're gonna play guys that play 200-500, you need to play 4-5 tables and shorter hours for a few weeks or you're gonna get your anus opened very large. You need to build an image slowly and understand what they re willing to do.
Deep tables are definitely beatable at a high winrate with less tables if you take a lot of notes on fish. The rake on GG is high but its nothing crazy. Im paying 13bb/100 in rake(0.5bb jackpot, any flop seen no matter the size) and even a 1 fish table is profitable.

For someone who touts themselves as one of the only true professional poker players, this seems like a very recreational approach to game selection.

Right, I'm asking what you do on those 4 days a week that you take off. You don't play poker, it seems like you don't study poker since you make it a point to point out when you do choose to study. Do you just play video games all day? Take the kids to school? Tend a garden?

tend a garden is a good one. 1 - 0
100nl failed big time, even tho i still feel like the last change was great still ended up losing because of bad run and followed bad plays/punts but i hope i can get back soon and prove that the new change to my strategy was working wonders
For now I'm back to 50nl

You were correct about the anus thing, f*** that limit lol they really destroyed me but for me it's no f****ing difference it's only matter of time till i take my crown, i treat these guys like 2nl 5nl 10nl i don't care, I'm the king and soon they all will bow to my feet and you will all witness that in the near future.

At the moment I'm not playing high enough to consider mixing sites, first i need to fully conquer 9max deep antes then ill switch to 6max, you continue to be you and I'll continue to be me.
As for the questions: I watch movies, play video games like Battlegrounds, play chess, eat nice food and think about poker and my strategy, come up with new adjustments, improve strategy, memorize/study my own writings, recover and play again long sessions, sometimes rest days not enough.
