English Football Season 2025-2026. Here we go again.
Welcome 2+2 to the English football season of 2025-2026.
This year I am going to make the thread officially for all of E
Apparently Sunderland over shot their xG this season by a crazy amount, and it was relegation level. With European games next season and the mighty Granit Xhaka a year older relegation odds could be interesting.
Honestly happy for kinsky
Anyone win any MONEY this season? I didn't get anything at all up and was thrashed in FPL where I stuck with Salah long after everyone else ditched him. League 2 promotion and the CL final can not help, had other teams in both of them.
Only the World Cup can save me from my worst season in 26 years.
Sunderland winning the handicap betting in the Prem is peak, if you called that one fair play but I suspect hardly any did.
Yes but only because I only wager on sports where I have a massive edge lol
2 wagers made and 2 won both vs friends and for dinners rather than money:
Me - Arsenal to win prem, them - field. True book price c. 6/1 on field at the time, I was laying c. 1/3 (as in, if I lost I bought dinner here -
and if they lost they bought dinner here - https://www.brunasristorante.com/)Me - Spurs to stay up, them - Spurs to go down. True book price at the time c. 5/2 on relegation, wager at evens - dinner here

My friends are morons but it's always for dinner together

Had a reasonably sized bet on Arsenal to win the prem. Was crying about not hedging a few weeks ago lol.
Congrats to all the Arsenal fans.
Wonder what cashy and TSC are up to

I probably lost around 8k on this

Clear fourth favourites behind the three promoted teams. Looks about right imo.
More importantly than xG, it's the defence that was key.
They were 4th in goals conceded, only behind Arsenal, Man City and Brighton.
I can't see them keeping hold of Roefs Mukiele and Ballard.
Plus the extra games in Europe...
Europe is the real killer. Alonso couldn't have got a better start to his Chelsea life with them failing to qualify for next season.
Though they will have to sell well again to meet financial rules. Just hopefully not to Arsenal this time.
Everything is going well at West Ham, with those close to the dwarf using this to promote themselves to supporters as the solution to the problem, when the dwarf is the problem.
Anyway, I'm properly excited about a gold digger/reality TV star/failed children's care home operator being active in setting the clubs strategy going forward. Everyone in The Championship must be shitting it.
Microsoft AI has been all over the Premier League this year and its been ****. From the FPL website to stats flashing up during games its been pretty useless imo. Until this, it's from yesterday so you've probably already seen it but I only just found it
Pep's left, City are now trading at 15/1 for relegation next season and this guy has always been right with ITK leaks before. Mostly about Arsenal team news but he's been on the money in the past.
Boy did it come around full circle - not only Arsenal as a team but Arteta being the guy not wanted to being the guy that beat Pep and saw him off. If only Claude was still around (starts at 1.30)
WC sweepstake if anyone fancies it
Anthony Gordon to Barca wasn't on my bingo card
Bad miss from Mitchell, but what a ball from Wharton that was.
Mateta. Glasner can become a Palace legend tonight
