Today is the playoff final and I have to say even now I am still feeling very angry about the massively massively dissproportionate and unfair punishment inflicted on Southampton.

Iy is very difficult to fully explain in words the anger at the sheer injustice and and unafairness. I will try though.

firstly Southampton seemed to go on god mode as soon as this Tonda took over we can see Tonda having a history of been involved with this cheating before he joined southampton that this happened before. We also know southampton were looking close to bototm of the table when he took over hovering a little above the relagtion zone. for an assistant manager to take over with no experience of been manager and do this seemed incredible but it all makes sense now. lets be clear Southampton would not have made the playoff positions in the first place if they had noit enacted this massive cheating from top down.

sure if it was a one off from a loan junior member of staff who acted unilatry and the club owned up this apologised and sacked the guy without needing promprts or been reported then one could have sympathy for the deplorable club that is southampton. However this is clear cheating from the day he took over. been kicked out of a competition they would never have been in if they had not cheated in the first place effectively makes this near a free roll, without further punishments. a 4 point deduction are you kidding me!!!!!!!

the fact they were expelled from the play offs should be taken as an automatic given but only a 4 point deduction????? this isnt just cheating this is organised delibrate cheating that gave themselves a substantial advantage. it was the owners the mangers the coaching staff and you think the players did not know seriously?

the only remorse Southampton have is that they got caught and they thought theyd get off light and there entire argument has been waaa we thought it made complete sense to cheat and now we got a punoishment which meant we didnt get an advantage by cheating and didnt get the big prize we expected. waaa we thought we would only have to pay a small fine.

this is rotten to the core from the top to the bottom their entire club is culperable as well the owners the managers the coaching staff the players and the fans this is one of the most deplorable things I have heard of in sports.

ok firstly how can we be sure there poor form before cheater mc cheatface took over wouold not have gotten them relegated? Oxford may have been hard done by here and cheated out of their place remaining the championship so I feel the only fair thing is to relegate southampton automatic relegation to league one. However the mess still remains how can we sort out the playoffs now to a satisfactory answer the best solution would be Wrexham play Boro and the winner plays Hull. Hull already beat Milwall so as much as id like to deny hull as their behaviour siding with the cheats hasnt been great but they hull did beat milwal we hope legitimately so Milwal dont have a case.

but then Boro have to play two rounds of playoffs which tired them more or risked injuries more right final got delayed right schedules right so best league could do is bro face hull now.

but Wrexham Oxford, Boro and Hull have all been affected by this. every team has but obviously these teams affected worse.

realistcly i also think a significant point deduction is appropriate here not 4 points I have seen teams docked 50 points for much less but 50 point deduction seems appropriate.

explusion from playoffs
automatic relegation to league one
50 point deduction to apply next year
and a very large fine quantifying that would take a lot of work but likely in the region of hundreds of millions

that they got away with the incredibly light sentance of disqaulifcation from a competition they shouldnt have been in if they hadnt cheated and a minor 4 point deduction is a total joke.

really id of expected a massive massive parade and drunken celebrations that they got off this light throughout all of southampton.

Of course sadly I knew this outcome was likely the best I could have expected, I never actually expected them to get this punishment I expected them to get a minor fine and be promoted.

So yes I was very happy with the decision but also very angry that they did not get what would actually have been fair.

Some ****er in the pub has the rugby on, so while not watching the playoff final, fat bloke betting update - one of my fat blokes is in a tie for the lead at 11-3 with one day left. So if he wins (which he should do, is 10-4 lifetime against his final opponent), he either wins the title or is in a straight playoff against someone he beat earlier in the tournament to go on a five match winning streak against him. Of course, if he won today it'd be a lot easier
