$2/3/6 tough spot pre
$2/3/6 9 handed.
BTN MAWG ~$900. Pretty ABC.
SB MAWG ~$1.7k. BTN and BB probably view me on TAG side of ABC.
BB 30’s Indian guy. $2.5k. Pretty LAG. Probably a winner and a decent player.
Mandatory Straddle late 20’s guy. Probably a WG. Maybe $1.4k. It’s his literal first hand.
Fold to BTN, limps $6. H goes $30 w/ AKhh. BB goes $110. Straddle goes $325. BTN folds.
Not a ton of experience RFI from the SB over a BTN limp, BB cold 3b, straddle cold 4b. Legit can see all three options making sense.
Thought please?

Calling is bad as you miss the flop 2/3 of the time. OOP in a cold 4Bet pot (this is strength) with no maneuverability. You probably end up with ace high on the flop and it’s too deep to stack off.
Slam jam 5Bet
Could make sense against thinking players as it always looks like aces. I know players that bluff their first hand when they enter a game thinking they’re setting the tone, so it could be a light 4Bet.
Bottom line:
I see a lot of people lose a lot of money with AK - they let you off the hook with this action - you only lose $30.
“Fold, and live to fold again”
I fold all but KK+ to a 4 bet without reads or other unusual circumstances e.g. shallow effective stacks.
Result:
H folds and feels like an Uber nit for mucking AKhh.
Way too deep to get involved here. I think KK is the threshold hand and that’s still uncomfortable.
I'd want to puke, but I'd still fold.
Quite the annoying spot with the AK blockers but unless I had significant history with villains this is one of those you just have to toss into the muck.
Additionally, if our 5B shove range here is always going to be KK/AA i think we have to flat with those hands when it comes back around to us and check/jam most flops.
What are the buy-in rules and how loose does the game usually play?
In Texas, I'm 5-betting 100% in this situation. If its a nitty game where 4-bets are always AA/KK/AK then I guess I can get behind a fold, but you're only 200bb deep. Versus any player I consider reasonably aggressive I'm fine getting stacks in <250bbs with AKs.
