Quantum Entanglement (A Love Story)
i personally couldn't have done that alone, at least starting as a kid playing the game.
i could've made a million dollars if i had the mind i have now with the knowledge i had back then.
the only thing i retained from Sklansky's T.O.P. was the fundamental theorem. act as if you know their cards and they know yours... and that there is a theoretical best play for every situation.
it was actually a Haseeb Q. video (lmao, he was brilliant but also lmao) from 2006 that blew the lid off my mind in terms of concepts
"Dog Is Heads Up" was the video series
holy ****!
deuces cracked made all of their old school training videos free
what ****ing legends those guys are
I'm glad I posted this.
I was just in the midst of getting lost in my mind to start the day.
If I run into a BEAR I really don't have a strategy.. just gonna wing it.
the strat matters (and is very different) if you're up against a black bear or a brown bear
i once had a thought WTF do u do if its a hybrid black/brown bear.
I think we should ask ourselves 'What Would Barry Sanders Do?" in that situation.
Woke up after 4 hours with tons of energy again.
Going to walk into the sunrise, bye.
when it's all said and done i plan on having a graph that is like an inversion of grimstarr's infamous career graph
the 2nd poker boom is coming
the prophecy has been laid
slow jams
Tonight at poker I felt so far above the rim compared to these guys it ALMOST felt unethical sitting there printing their disabilitiy checks.
The table fish asked me if I would expose one of my hole cards on the flop and I sat in silence and then he got frustrated and folded. I quickly said , "sorry I don't talk during hands." which wasn't the warmest response from me. We ran into the bathroom later and he profusely apologized for trying to talk to me, I told him I was actually the one who was wrong and could have shook my head no.
You NEVER EVER EVER get this type of interaction with someone in a brick and mortar casino.
I'm laying wood against players who are purely there to have some fun.
Like bro, I'm in the catbird seat in almost every hand. That means I am striking from a position of dominance regardless of my holding or position at the table.
I do not have to grease the wheel to have a very good winrate in this game.
However, it's actually enjoyable to banter with these players and playfully tip the solid dealers who are always in a good mood.
The time passes fast and I have fun 'off' the table in these games, but in game its pretty boring.
These are negative hand histories. I might go 2 months without an interesting hand where they also make a good play.
I saw AJs call 4 streets and his whole 150bb stack on a 9 high board for absolutely no reason. That was the 1st or 2nd hand of the night and it didn't get much better.
Never in my poker life (approximately 3 million hands of cash) have I played J6s out of position in a raised pot.
I found a situation tonight where it was possibly +EV and I'm confident it wasn't losing.
It was just absurd.
I think I'm going to write Melancholy And An Infinite Sadness.
It's got a good premise. Dunno if I have it in me to write a totally bonkers story on my first try.
It explores a fictional future asking what would happen if an entire race of people were genocided off the face of the Earth. It might use the Holocaust, it might not. But the Holocaust is what is in mind.
I have a blood relative who survived in Poland during WWII. He wrote a memoire about the ordeal and it's otherworldly well written.
If you can find someone to take a wager on The Video Game of the Year at the game awards later this year, it might be sharp to bet on Order Of The Sinking Star to win the crown jewel at the ceremony.
I've wanted a game like this my whole life.
Got excellent sleep last night for the first time all week.
Peachy Keen, I'm the Tuma Machine.
On days I work (live poker) I really can't involve myself with any sort of informational dense activities. I wanted to play online for a few minutes and I wouldn't allow myself to get into deep thought in any of the hands. I can't even play video games right now if I wanted to -- the total collection of data becomes anxiety inducing.
When I finally stand up to cash out it's as though an emotional dam breaks and I feel a mix of relief, joy, pride, and excitement for the night's activities.
