i was hoping the clue would be ervin

I'm actually quite torn here.

Lester the Molester is a pretty strong/scary bully name. But molester maybe isn't quite a bully and moreso operates in the shadows doing sketchy stuff.

But Lester is also a wimpish name.

If going high on the bully side, I feel there's much better clues than Lester (the molester), which leans me towards the other side.

Tough one here. Might just chalk up an 11.

Rather than being a bully, someone named Lester would probably be bullied by the bullies and called Lester the molester just because. I'm ok with 16-17.

I'd put John closer to 9-10 just cause Big John kinda a thing. Dave might be 11.

Could even go up to 18. Prefer 17-18 over 16-17.

Lower imo and wouldn't be surprised if it's somewhere towards the middle. It's a kinda wimpy sounding name but with no modifiers I don't see this being 18+.

Lester Burnham from American Beauty and prolly some other Lesters out there…not sure if he had one in mind with a name like Lester as clue

Lester is also the guy's name in the first season of Fargo. He's pretty wimpy, but I doubt that has any bearing on this clue.

I think he just tried to pick a wimpy sounding name to get on the right side of the line, but didn't do anything too specific to keep it below 15/16.
