Limp/caller leads almost pot on AA6 2-flush

1/3 NL. Hero has about 300, main villain covers. Main villain appears middle aged, south Asian, and appears to play well. Hero straddles because the players on both sides of him are doing that. 4 calls, hero raises to 45 with 9h9d, only SB calls. Flop (94) As6sAd, villain leads to 75, hero ??.

If he has an ace, he a 97% favorite
If he has a pocket pair higher than yours, same thing. Does he do this with 88? Fold

Some Asian players are overly aggressive, so it might be worth calling and seeing what happens on the turn. He could check to you on the turn and give you many options.

It’s not really a line that a good player would use with an ace. It’s suspect, but it’s still a good idea to get out early when a lot of hands beat you badly.

Many of the very best players are extremely aggressive pre-flop & flop, to the point of looking maniacal. Then, when they see how villain reacts, they are able to make more logical (and sometimes straightforward) decisions on the later streets (turn/river). It’s these later streets that most people struggle to play.

It kinda comes down to do you think this guy thinks to himself, “if I bet here (with anything) and he doesn’t have an ace, he’ll fold”

Or simply, I’m not letting this guy check-back and get a free card.

Without any strong reads I peel one here and re-evaluate the turn. If he double barrels I fold. If he checks back the turn, I will have to re-evaluate River to see if I wanna bluff catch or not if he fires.

Interesting donk by the villain. I am hoping the call slows him down. Donk range to me seems like PP not knowing what to do or weak ace or occasional 6x. I don’t think it’s a bluff but probably more weighted toward marginal SDV.

Hard to imagine villain donking with any value hands on this flop for such sizing.
Only range that comes to mind are fd and 6x.

Might call/jam. I don't think we ever folding this without a reads that he's passive player.

If he's a passive player, this is a snap fold.
