NBA 2025-26 Season Thread: THE NY KNICKS ARE CHAMPIONS! BING BONG!
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
MJax ****ing blows. Always did. The fact that he hasn’t even gotten close to sniffing another job while some of the stupidest people ever continue to get retread (ffs 3 other teams hired and fired sweaty doc since mjax last coached a game) is proof of that
Kerr is fine with inherited talent and truly god awful at developing talent. To his (extremely minimal) credit I think a lot of the failure of the dubs the last few years falls on Bob meyers who is without question history’s greatest fraud. The two timelines **** was the worst idea ever and both him and dunleavy were stupid enough to hold onto pieces so much longer than warranted despite there being no chance they develop into anything but a sunk cost
Kerr got Iggy to accept 6man and got four rings out of Draymond. He was the right coach for that roster at that time.
Should they have dumped Dray instead of KD, duh but Steph obviously vetoed it.
The two timelines thing was so dumb, only the Jazz could’ve invented it, for the Ty Corbin Era—Develop AND Compete!
Ball OOB, Cleveland ball. Refs overturn it after concertation between all 3 of them
Then Cleveland uses their 2nd challenge to challenge the overturned call.
Time for more ads during the timeout and we go back to the original call
What are we doing
Having a grand ol time
I will snap one day and do something terrible because i cant see the content i pay for
RAPS
Cmb
Aka cash money billionaire
That dude is good
wemby GOAT
i thought the blazers were sneaky good, spurs are going ALL THE WAY
wemby +28 in 34 mins today, TALK ABOUT THAT IMPACT OMGGGG
Spurs win 73-35 second half
My first round bets are off to a good start, except perhaps the one I was the most convinced of, Raps losing in -6.5 games :
- NY-Atlanta +5.5 games (already won)
- Den-Minesota +5.5 games (feeling confident that Denver will win at home next game)
- Boston > Philadelphia (very confident)
- Cleveland > Toronto in -6.5 games (feeling less confident after Raptors performance today, but don't mind losing this bet, given fandom 😉)
league is a mess with injuries every playoffs now, just wanna see OKC vs SA both teams healthy
probably 4% chance of happening or so
trust the process
Lakers are going to be the first team to go up 3-0 in a playoff series in the NBA yet lose the series.

I don't think KD left because the Warriors refused to move Draymond. I think he left because he wanted what he has always wanted -- to win a title as the face of a franchise. No matter how well KD played for the Warriors, the Warriors were always more Steph's team than KD's team in the eyes of management and the fans.
KD said he felt like an outsider on the Warriors.
Enjoy your cupcake rings you twitter boi snake!

It is what it is. KD joined a team that had a solid core and that had won a championship he arrived. Steph, Draymond, Klay, etc. were happy to have Durant, but they didn't fawn over him or treat him as a savior. And management and the coaches didn't automatically act like it was Durant's team.
I also think that Steph is a somewhat unusual personality in the NBA. He's more mature than most, less interested in going out than most, and didn't grow up the same way a lot of guys in the league did. It almost felt like Steph would go home every night and hang out with his wife and kids or whatever, and KD was like, "What? I thought we were going to hang out, maybe smoke some weed, and then play 2K all night."
The saving grace was that it all worked on the court. Durant is not only a great player, but also a committed and smart player. And as I've said before, if you are a truly great player like Durant, Steph may be the easiest superstar to play alongside in the history of the NBA.
it was one of the top 3 players in the league joining 1 of the top 2 teams, lol how wouldn't it work
KD left because he got off the dreaded "never won a ring" list and winning more rings on the Warriors wasn't doing much for him just like winning more rings with shaq wasn't doing much for kobe by 2004, as much of a joke as that whole thing was it does beat being ringless for a player of that caliber
everything else is fan fiction
