Also feel comfortable making City slight favourites now.
Unfortunately I have Arsenal at roughly 1.3 taken when they were like 1.15 or something, but if it happens at least I get to go for a nice dinner.
Those were dumb odds as I said at the time. But it’s only fun, I know.
City were 7.0 two weeks ago and are now 1.7 lol

O'Reilly has been brilliant, can't see anyone else winning young player of the year. He should be starting for England in the World Cup with how he is playing.
As for POTY. Can't deny how great Gabriel has been this season and the player that surprised me the most is Thiago. Think he's only 2 goals behind Haaland. However at the moment I would have to give it to Bruno Fernandes. He's going to break the assist record surely. He also qualifies for hilarious moment of the season when the ref bumped into him at Fulham just before taking a pen which he then missed.
EDIT : I just looked up the odds after posting this and it appears Declan Rice is favourite although Bruno's not too far behind.

Bruno imo. Bruno is clearly first in my mind and I would have said Rice second up to about a couple months ago as while he has been good he hasnt been GOATing.
Haaland will almost certainly get votes as top scorer.

Ditto. Spurs were kicking the tyres on him forever. Ofc if we'd pulled the trigger he'd join the long list or players phoning it in waiting for a bigger club to buy him, but still.
This was all fun and games, but time to dock like 98 points from City and save both North London teams!
Think this is it for him. Mostly the way it played out. Going into March with 4 trophies on the line and the performances against Southampton and especially Bmouth to have it all crash and burn.

Should be gone if there are no trophies now. Why would the players believe in someone who won a solitary cup, after this collapse. I don’t think he knows how to release the stress around the team and possibly makes it worse. Some of the performances, not yesterday, have been bottom half.
But I mostly expect the clueless Kroenkes to offer him a new contract whatever happens, considering only how he’s made the club competitive in the PL and CL again. And that will play very badly with a big chunk of the fans.
They will if he does not win anything.
The hype is too big and the momentary emotion will wash away all analysis, additionally a lot of shiny new managers available including Chelsea club legend Cesc Fabregas. And as we know we are doing extremely well with Chelsea club legends - not one miss
If you were in Saliba's shoes and won nothing again this season, wouldn't you have a word with your agent? I wouldn't blame him if he did. And a sale like that could precipitate more.

Yes, there's a chance you can replace him with someone better, but there's also so much variance in coaching hires. Arteta is a known quantity and a very good one at at that.
A new superstar manager will want to start his own "project" too, so he may well blow up a decent chunk of the team and start the rebuild again.
Think most fans will see this as non-variance
And by no chance do I not rate what Lego Pep has done for us. We are playing in the UCL semi-final again and dominated the group stage 2nd year in a row. Not sure that our fanbase will see it as reasonably, they will rather want more, which is great.
The way the season played out, ironically Lego Pep would be better off if they went out eariler in the domestic cups for example. The hype train would have been much-much slower
The PL and CL are just so insanely competitive at the top end. I understand that 4x second place would be seen as a failure, but there's been substantial improvement in that time.

Either way, I get the impression that the board will likely stand firm regardless (as they should) and let the vocal fans be upset.
And you are playing teams in the CL where this isn't the case. It's brutal for the PL sides.

Momentum/initiative counts for a lot in a title run in. Those two situations are not the same.

Again, I think you're missing the psychology. Players having come close so many times now may feel they need to move on, so this may not be a bad thing.

That isn't a good way of thinking about it. Elite level sport is all about getting over the line. It feels like every other year Man City hit their straps on the run in. Conversely, when was the last time they coughed up a lead?
It's not "regression to the mean" that gets them over the line - it's Pep.
