I realize ring isn't a lock to be theirs, but it's well over 50% now
And he can obviously overlook the scratch connection to meth. 0 clues are hard to give. What else does this even hit?
I was thinking mess could be the other one...like picking through the mess, pickaxes making a mess or whatever. It's obviously weaker but mess is not easy to clue for.

Scratch is better in a vacuum but scratch was on our list when he chose meth over quartz for crystal…seems relevant

also not convinced on the 0 clue eliminating scratch when it fits 10x better than mess here
There is nothing cowardly about not wanting to guess a word it looks like we were clued away from and another word we never discussed, and I don't think brain being ours changes much of anything.
Meth was a bad clue to solely hit crystal when there are a million other clues you could use...it is basically the ONE word you could clue there which also hits scratch, so I don't feel bad about eliminating it even if it turns out to be ours. I know if I was cluing I would be pretty mad if you guessed it anyway.
I’m all for going for it if there is something to go for
But if we didn’t have a makeup word for the n-1 then we would just be blindly guessing
And I can’t guess scratch this turn when meth was a 0 clue and scratch was on our list

I mean you could even clue diamond which would probably get ring and rock, The just seems like such an odd choice for that

oh yea lol, in my head Crystal was assassin but I often forget to check so good job not clueing diamond, I would have forgotten immediately and said Crystal = Diamond!
