I believe it is the percentage of (polled!) people that approves of someone, minus the percentage that disaspproves, disregarding neutrals.
Since 56-37 = 19, I am assuming:
37% like Trump
56% dislike Trump
7% somehow indifferent (not sure why they don't put this number in the middle and act like it is irrelevant by using this metric)
