Kristen Foxen folds KK preflop

Yeah, this hand is all over social media and I don’t really know why. Many have folded KK pre and it has happened on many videos out there, too.

She’s at the final table of a $100, 000 tournament. It’s not a horrendous fold given the ICM implications.

Not to mention that she probably felt she had an edge on the remaining players and didn’t want to put her tournament life on the line in such a spot.

Had someone really had AA, or if someone would have sucked out on her had she called, she would be praised for her abilities. But because she would have won, people are freaking out on her. Results oriented people are reposting this to death.

Frankly, I don’t have the discipline or confidence to fold there so I would have called. But I think it was a world class fold for her.

I think this judgement also depends on her live read which looks to me to have been way off. It was clearly more important to her to ladder up than win the tournament, but then, I'm a long way from being an expert on the matter. What astonished me most was that she was happy to tell everyone she folded Kings after the runout which I would have kept very schtum about.
