Ok boys, we have yet another candidates tournament ahead of us. Subjectively, the most interesting chess spectator event

If Sindarov can keep this up as he plays Nakamura, Caruana, and Giri the second time, yeah.

If Sindarov draws in each of last four rounds , its over even if Giri wins three matches and draws once. That would be 10 vs. 9.5
The Uzbek needs to lose for others to catch him. This makes me think of the Masters Tournament going on as we speak -- a leader making bogeys/pars allows the birdie-makers to catch up.

na...

Caruana gets into the equation. He's still a contender - math-wise, it matters
The other contenders will not play for a win against Sind with black; the prep for a win on demand won't be used with no chances of winning the candidates
they'll be more than happy to make quick draws

is it possible ? yes
plausible ? no way

Depends on whether they have opinions regarding whom they'd rather see win.

Sindarov winning on and off the board.

6 moves of prep after Bd3 followed by finding the best continuation, must've been so frustrating for Fabi, that he just wanted to go home on a R+N vs R

kg5 tho...

Congratulations to Sindarov and Vaishali. The youth are crushing it. The venue/schedule of the WCC 2026 yet to be determined.
