Kamala was a second-rate presidential candidate. Biden ****ed up enormously by not sticking to his promise to be a one-term president. The people around Biden (including Kamala) ****ed up enormously by enabling Biden's dalliance with a second term when he clearly wasn't up to it.
All that said, people who are obsessed with Kamala's sexual history should be embarrassed. The double standard that many people apply to the sexual history of female vs. male politicians is beyond pathetic.

That's kinda 20-20 hindsight. He had one bad night and it's unclear to me whether that was a result of cognitive decline or medications. I'm inclined to believe the latter since I never saw evidence of the former other than hearsay. Democrats weren't urging him out because he was unfit, they just believed the incident was enough for him to lose the election. And, really, they didn't have much choice other than kamala. I agree that Kamala or Biden would have been a better president than Trump. I agree that there was no real choice other than Kamala by the time Biden dropped out. I strongly disagree that Biden was physically and mentally up to the task of being president through 2028. He was better suited to be president than Trump, but that's true of a million people.
You can acknowledge that the Dems could have done better while also acknowledging that Project 2025 existed and all it should have taken was one glance at that document for the entire country to violently reject the whole Trump administration (especially with the historical context of his first term) but everyone wanted to swim in their cognitive dissonance so instead of informed conversations of policy we got "Kamala is black", "Kamala is a woman", "Kamala's laugh is offputting", "QUEEN KAMABLAH" and etc. Well you pissed in the pool. People are starting to pull their head out of the water but they are still dripping in cope while leaning into fantasy scenarios where Kamala dragged us to war in the same manner destroying crypto and the stock market in a more spectacular fashion than what we are currently seeing

It would be nice if people were held accountable for their actions. At this stage, the right is doing nearly all of the bad things. If we want to right this ship, some of them need to be held accountable.

Excellent goal! That said, how do you propose accomplishing this? Money ruled politics long before the Citizens United decision.

Biden's own internal polling projected Trump with 400 electoral votes. No male Democrat was going to win that election, either. Polls showed that voters blamed the Dems for inflation. Carter was the sitting POTUS and lost in a landslide the last time inflation was as high as it was during Biden's term.
The party in power gets thrown out when inflation is high. And, yes, the Republicans will pay a big price for skyrocketing gas prices and the wider inflation that will cause.
