Does grass have cell walls?

This feels really low to me, but I'm not really sure how to rate the scale. It's gotta be lower than fruit trees/flowers, right? I could see this being as low as 2 or 3, but I may be thinking about it all wrong.

I believe grass does have cell walls, it's what helps it stand upright I think

I would say 2 or 3, think 1 would be photosynthesis or another scienc-y plant word

Current scores:

Team A: 11
Team B: 3

Yeah, that was just a joke because nich used cell walls for a 1 in a previous game and nobody knew what he was on about lol.

Maybe a 3 for coverage because I don't even know how you'd go about cluing a 4/5 on this scale. Maybe even higher now that I'm thinking about it, I dunno.

Like would a leaf be higher or lower than grass? I have no idea!

Leaf might be 2, grass could be 3 lol

No idea either tbh, happy to go 3

Then there's stuff like moss. Where does that land?

Either 3 or 4 imo. I'll let you decide.

Hmm convinced me it's a bit higher, let's go 4

If it's not 4 then I'm clueless. In my mind there's Groot, Swamp Thing, and a Venus Fly Trap somewhere in the middle of the scale and everything else is either a 1 or a 21.

Rose bush: 1
Apple Tree: 1
Cactus: 1
Grass: 1

Not 4

I think sharks are older than trees. I am not sure that has any relevance here but I cannot pass up the opportunity to mention it.

grass gotta be way older than sharks

what is more plant than grass. Like if you got randed one what are you cluing.

Many grasses propagate via rhizome. Not sure if that's animalistic but I'm throwing it out there.

I'm guessing lower, but this is a really hard category

one time I said something about grass being really old, and my brother told me grass is pretty new. I was shocked at how new it is.

pretty sure research is not allowed for the guessers. it shouldnt' be allowed imo.

if my brother hadn't told me that I would have guessed grass is waaaaaay older than sharks, but now I think I'm guessing sharks are older than grass

but grass doesn't move, doesn't even have a shape. like tress have branches. flowers have weird/interesting shapes that could be some kind of still creature.

grass is just nothing as you can get. grass might even be a 1

I think we're all thinking grass could be a 1. so we are all on lower? someone else bold. I did last time

You know how I feel. Amp can bold.

lower

grass is 70-113 millions years old

sharks 450 million years

I feel more comfortable around grass

Still thinking about filthys claim that grass "doesn't have a shape"

Still thinking about filthys claim that grass "doesn't have a shape"

😆

I mispoke. I mean like some trees and flowers and plants kind of look like animals. I mean I guess grass looks like a worm, but I'm talking like limbs, head, eyes, some plants could even have like fingers and toes or whatever.

grass is like as one dimensional as you can get, is maybe a better way to put it

Groot is an 11
The high plant range is things like Venus fly trap, kudzu, creeping vines, etc

The super low range is cell walls, photosynthesis, and plants that never grow or change

Grass with no modifiers is just smack dab in the middle of the plant range, so a 6

If you say “let’s go buy some plants” you aren’t buying grass…you are buying ferns, flowers, hibiscus, pottable plants

Grass just seems like the most neutral choice for the plant spectrum

Super shocked people thought my logic would have grass as the most plant like things over actual plants and over cell wall, photosynthesis, or plants that don’t grow

Grass grows and spreads like animals; it’s eaten by animals; it houses tons of animals…it’s just never super low on plant spectrum

Grass grows and spreads like animals

Animals ****. Does grass ****?

Technically, kinda, I guess? They have male and female parts of course. There is...pollination?
