I should clarify that when I went off on a tangent about the perils of betting small in position with thin value on the river, I wasn't referring to this hand. I was responding to eggs post.

Anyway I agree with nath we've got thick value in this hand on the river, and a bet is mandatory. The only question is what size.


This is literally the worst suited ace. I don't like flat calling with it at all. Fold or 3! preflop. Flop, check to the raiser and you can call or x/r.

Turn you need to bet your flush. You need to build the pot. If the board pairs, you no longer have the nuts. If another heart hits, you may lose action.
