Also, your reasoning of "they checked to me, so they never have sets/straights/NFD" is _maybe_ likely true at this specific 1-3 game ... but is far from a universal truth.

Thank you for recognizing that this reasoning could be true in the game I’m in. Others find no logic in it and that’s what really puzzles me.

I’m more interested in interpreting villain’s actions, than blockers. It gets real on the turn and people are face up with their actions in my games.

We've gone over this before, but on early streets there are mostly just three main reasons to bet. We bet for value to get worse to call. We bet as a bluff to get better to fold.

Fighting one guy, these are good points.
Fighting two guys is much more difficult

I don’t understand the squeeze a little value out of villain. Have you ever fought two people?

You go FPS to extract a little a more value?

These situations happen fast…
I read weakness and pounced

I hope you don’t give up on me gg, because I’m closer to your style than anyone and I’m really trying to understand others POV.

I’m not trying to be aggravating. It’s just kinda hard to accept that moves I’ve been using successfully for years, are considered garbage by many here.

I can’t defend myself and they take their ball and go home.

I will continue to show up and be respectful, just love the game. I was hoping to discuss with others that love the game.

In a similar vein I'm (and I think most other responses are) not saying your turn shove is terrible/losing ... but that you could do something differently and it be higher EV.
.

I appreciate you sir, and I wish this were true.

They are saying it’s such a terrible play that they’re through talking to me. I am absolutely looking for higher EV and certainly willing to try different things.

At the moment, I have not found compelling evidence that another play is better.

The tightest player in the game just jammed the turn into two people. What’s your advice for those two people?

Maybe another line is better, but I’m not yet convinced. I am open-minded though and looking for a better way. I eagerly seek other opinions, even when nobody cares about mine.

Very simple: fold your poor hands and call with your good ones.

Our sizing on the turn *allowed our opponents to play perfectly against us (*although, lol, one of our opponents was so bad they chose not to anyways). 😀

And FreeCard, we're all on different points of our poker journey. You're welcome here, as well as to give your opinions based on your point on your journey, just as others are welcome to give their opinions based on where they are on their journey. So don't feel the need to overdefend yourself, it's all good.

Thanks, I’m moving right along on the journey, but I disagree:

Your way maybe
So, your sizing on the turn is a little something, then newbie wakes up & shoves all-in -
you fold the best hand. That’s not perfect

Just can’t blanket statement v allowed to play perfectly - anytime a player is faced with calling a bet, the wrong decision can be made
