What is the good reason for an alt account unless you have a specific personal issue (e.g., "I'm struggling with serious mental health issues . . ." or "I was sexually abused . . .") that you want to discuss without associating the issue with your main account?

He lost the password to his account supposedly. I can't recover the account so I don't really care if he is on an alt especially since he was seemingly figured out quite quickly.

Mong’s computer crashed and he lost his password. He tried to reset it but he has an old email that doesn’t exist. He’s been a respected member here since 2004. He made several attempts to contact customer support but they never got back to him. I’m sure if there was a way to restore his account he would happily make a grand comeback. It’s funny to hear your imaginations running wild about why this has happened. I hate to burst your bubble that it is simply just a technical issue.

It's not that crazy. Gmail (as well as other large providers) will irreversibly disable your account if you haven't logged in within two years, so if someone is using a "throwaway" email that they never check, it could happen.

However, if you don't have a recovery number/email for your gmail, then they won't let you in if you're logging in from a new/different machine - even with the correct credentials.

Since the hardware/software of the machine doesn't match previous logins, they will want to text or email a number or different email you have on file with them for a temp code. If you've never set up a recovery email/number with gmail, then you're chit out of luck. The security questions they made you set up when opening your account for this exact reason are useless because they are no longer used.

That said, I don't think that's what's up with Mong. Like you said, he probably has very few passwords and they're probably not 9L#t{G*v2,%NM"_)E type passwords but something more like, 11"CockMan! or something like that. In any case, his trolling was much better on his other account.
