let me spell it out for the cryptofarts and sandy hook truthers amongst us. saying someone controls the “flow” of information does not necessitate that they control the media, because the media reports on the information that is flowing to them from various sources. thus someone can have information that is highly reliant on right-wing narrative without themselves being owned at all by the right wing.

re the fake news bit, we all know that Fox highly skews towards Republicans/maga/Trump. But if they even so much as report on any poll that is bad for Trump, he calls it fake news. That’s because it’s a mechanism for making people fall in line and maintain control of the information. Trump even called newsmax fake news the other day. Trump will call anything fake news that isn’t in 100% lockstep with him.
Even if the media source is 100% owned by Republicans, guess what different Republicans believe different things, so they will sometimes be out of step from Trump. Crazy, I know. The moniker of fake news is designed to get them back in line.

This is just random, but I had dinner with my stepson yesterday. He spent last weekend with two of his cousins (not sure what that is to me). He said they talked politics just a little and he told me both of them voted for Trump and both regret it. Hopefully not everyone is as stupid as elway.
