This is just random, but I had dinner with my stepson yesterday. He spent last weekend with two of his cousins (not sure what that is to me). He said they talked politics just a little and he told me both of them voted for Trump and both regret it. Hopefully not everyone is as stupid as elway.

But that doesn't release them for the blame for the current situation and their stupidity for ignoring all the signs that he was a pedo, convicted felon, sex offender, serial liar and voting for him anyway.
"TDS" is a thought-terminating cliche, which is a propaganda tool. Other examples are "fake news" or "democrat hoax" and "rigged elections."
Once the administration trained the monkeys on how to use these phrases, they are no longer open to processing new information. They simply learn which canned response allows them to comfortably continue life the way it has been before.

This would be a great point if anyone actually believed the bolded. You also don't understand that cynicism is a great friend of authoritarianism, a point that Hannah Arendt made very bluntly 70+ years ago.

It is to foster cynicism so that we don’t know what to believe and come to believe that nothing is true, no facts are reliable, and the world is simply a battlefield for partisan ideas.
