Concentration of power broadly speaking is problematic. Wealth is a source of power and there is truth to the idea having more millionaires and billionaires help with checks and balances.
But it’s not the only source of power. Religion for example is a major one.
Also things get problematic fast if said wealth translates easily to political and (in some places on earth still) military power. Hell, some get religious power out of money.

I don't think that I have ever seen a single example of an intelligent person accusing someone else of TDS.

For sure. But tyranny of the majority isn't the same species of tyranny we're talking about with oligarchies. And religion is just a type of ideology, just like political ideologies, which are baked into liberal democracies.
Things will change drastically if the President decides to take Kharg. Any benefit Iran is experiencing now will be very short lived.
