RDP into NJ from NY

Hey,

Someone has been playing on ACR for a while from NYC but wanted to transition into a more reliable site for a while. Their wife's parents live across the river from NYC into North Jersey. What's the feasibility of leaving a box on in their house that someone could RDP into and play on 888/WSOP from a different place in NYC?

Obviously if one were to get caught doing this, they would at the very least lose all of the money associated with that account and maybe worse consequences. Curious what this would look like theoretically or if anyone has tried such a thing as an exercise...
