+60k hands +5/bb 100plo-1kplo in one month challenge on Betrivers

So the plan is to grind this much in a month playing max 8 table of anywhere from 100plo to 1kplo. I have never played more than 45k hands in a month so this will be a bit challenging but the rakeback is crazy good at +70%. I actually never played any other games than lhe before and I have been playing poker since 15? now 37 but I was force into learning a new game once lhe die on bovada and didn't want to become a live pro by moving to Cali or Vegas. Below is my result so far since I quit lhe and learn plo. I won't be posting much about strategy but will post some thought on how I was able to transit over from lhe to plo easily and what tools I use to learn.

And for those that are curious this is my result before for lhe https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showp... .

Day 1 in grind station

I actually have to drive cousin house to play since Delaware dont get much rakeback on Betrivers for some reason think it like 5-10%.

Some interesting hands

Gross spot but don't think this is ever bluff or naked trip. So I think easy fold against recreational.

was really surprise he turn this into bluff and rarely do I see regs do this on turn w trip.

This one just bad play of the day and got bailed out.to

Day 2

End much sooner than I wanted but there weren't that many games and feeling sick atm. Hopefully I can pick up pace and grind a few 3k-4k hands day so can give myself breathing room.

This happen back to back against same rec

Going to enjoy run good while it last.

Day 3 in, Still feeling really shitty and spazz a bunch. Games are quite amazing with a lot of action though. I realize I should of done some sort of prop bet with this challenge.

Very funny hand. He slow down a few second in chat and said Sick after my riv 3b.

Pure spaz by me toward end of session. For some reason I was thinking we want him to fold fd. but against this reg/rec it never good.

I will try to post more hands and thought once I get better. Maybe even record a session 3 tabling.

GLGL, subbed. From which state do you play?

I play in PA. Only played an hour session in morning yesterday. Feeling really shitty still w covid. End up driving home to Delaware to rest. For today I am planning on grinding and recording part of session. Hopefully it show some interesting spots.

Day 4

This rec came in and just donate like 4 buy in within an hour

this third hand was a reg against him. IF I were in rec shoe even w the second nut it should always be a fold on riv. Reason being throughout this session rec has shown he wasnt' willing to fold standard hands so there is absolution no reason for reg to ever bluff w nfb. I take this idea to a lot of situation where i think pop tendency just under bluff and we can over fold a lot even if "solver" tell us it should be a call.

What happened around hand 100,000 in that first graph? Those last 150k hands are beautiful props man. Why choose PLO over NL? Seems there's much more midstakes/highstakes action for NL / NL mtt's?

I was taking shot at 1kplo after three months of learning plo and just got destroyed running +10 buy in under ev but it also just not adjusting well. I was just desperate to push through and was constantly putting down every hands that I had question down on evernote to study w RIO verson or if not build custom sim w monker. At the same time I had help w a buddy that been crushing 2kplo for years. He let me sweat and ask questions and it changed a lot of my approach on how to deal with player pools. And what recs bet size means. Then I just ran better and hopefully never have to look back.

I choose plo because I just felt like Nl was too advance and competition a lot tougher. And looking back I think plo actually fit prefectly after playing lhe there a lot of similarity. It a very technical structure game.

Day 5
Think I end up with around 1.5k hands or so. Can't manually grab hhs while in Delaware for some reason and have to do it with chat support so I will probably do this at end of the month.

I did manage to record a short 10 min vid of me playing

Also a few interesting hand. Against a reg. This sort of bet size on flop is just so strange and then on turn betting this big make no sense since if he has Tx, I would expect pot size a lot on flop unless he has a monster but if that the case than why bet big on turn.

Then next few hand against same reg. Guessing he has AAxx or TTxx but just the fact that he couldn't call off tell me he doesn't even have Fd and that just huge mistake in flop peel.

Last one I just got bailed out. I thought he was a big rec and could just have anything didn't realize how behind I was lol.

Nice to see the work paying off for you, really impressive to switch games and print like that at 5/10. Cool video, I think I call that river spot w/ Qhi flush at the start, after the 1/3 turn lead, also like the fold, prolly underbluffed.

Thanks. Yea that QT flush I think can go either way on turn and on J high board it going to be hard for him to have some sort of bluff in MP. I guess against a big rec I would consider calling or a really good reg that tricky but that so rare.

Day 7

Graph missing DE hhs

Got back to Pa yesterday and was just grinding non stop. Going to try to do the same tonight before court tomorrow for jury duty, hopefully I don't get selected. Will post interesting hands in a bit.

Some interesting hands.

Reg start off by 3b wide oop. And then get into spot where any decent hands should pot. This bet size just tells me it quite weak so I am going to peel light.

This reg/rec been playing quite a lot lately. Very spewy and love to 3b and get it in super light. Really bad flop against his 4b calling range but once goes all in it an easy call.

Against another reg. I been telling my friends about plo and people are happy to "flip" thinking it a coin flip. I would love to be your bookie and lay you -200 instead of -110 and see how you will do after a half season.

Almost every reg on here love to 3b light. And then put themselves into shitty spot.

This one I just lay an egg. Should just fold riv.

Day 8

Actions been mostly regs. Planning on studying head up and figuring out a lot more spots since I am getting a lot random regs battle. I will try to record another vid soon.

Day 9

Back home in DE and ask chat support for hhs to merge database. Just battling variance atm. Can't complain ran pretty well last few months. I probably not going to reach 60k goal but will try to do at least 50k. Games has been pretty reggy but there always some big rec joining and donating a couple of stack each night.

This hand show how wild the game can be

DAy 13

Got back in PA yesterday and just grinding away. Games has slowed down a lot this past week. Hopefully it pick up soon.

This was a funny hand yesterday against a reg.

Great thread idea, following as I am trying to play some more PLO and come from a LHE background.

You need a more ergonomic setup, bro. That table is tiny!

Thanks bro. Glad to see other lhe guys join plo. If you play w pio solver you understand that a lot of default sims are bad and needs to node lock a lot. It similar w plo but monker it impossible to node lock post flop. I think a lot of pro in plo learn by experience but lhe pro can by pass that. I would also say most regs in plo play way too loose. A lot of spot monker are great at balancing the bet size checking nuts and weak hands to give up. Regs end up not giving up correctly while betting a smaller size w nuts or check too much.

Day 14

Can't complain hopefully next month will be better.

Misread thought I had KKxx guess it worked out fine this time

Day 17

Didn't play Betrivers on Thursday while back at home. Friday the games were pretty dead. And yesterday a lot of regs action at 500plo but no 200plo game running. Guessing with Pokerstars merging with Fanduel all the actions going there for now.

Biggest hand of the night that got bail out on riv

Didn't get bail out this time. Don't really like the reg cc pre. Going to be put in a lot of spot where I have T98x.

I guess I could just go all in on flop but decided this sort of bet size by reg is always nutty on flop and stack size is big enough to play turn and riv.

Against another reg. Guess he thinks my sizing on turn make my hand weak but it a situation I am not going to b75 ever on straight when he has all A54x. But once on riv I am going to pot all my +Aqxx.

Pretty much close to last hand of the night against a big rec. Brain dead this should of been a gross fold once he shove or at least just call and then fold some riv. I don't think rec ever b/3b less than KQxx w redraw and even than it probably just always set

Day 20

Way off pace just not a lot of games most and just focusing on grinding +500plo. I also test deposit on clubwpt, games on here is insane juicy 2/4 w 8 dollar straddle play bigger than 1kplo on betriver but level of play is like 200plo.

Day 21

Heading back home. Going to try to play some more Cluewpt while in DE since rakeback is only like 10% on Betrivers

Some fun hand. Maybe different reg or same but this is show how I approach exploitative poker.

Do you still fold hand 1 if the river is not an ace?

No pop tendency wont' value bet AAxx. What matter is that I block two pair. It very hard for him to raise w nfb and bluff in first spot. Had I bet and he call and turn he raise I would likely call down. My edge comes from years of studying lhe, I have a lot of experience with understanding why solvers does certain things and human can't balance in a lot of spot. I think the problem with plo it impossible to node lock but a lot of it gto default balance theory is wrong when human play the game. There also was a huge trend in lhe where the best people who study head up would get crushed at 6 max after a few years solver. The reason is that the were a diverge in how 6 max meta game change. In head up if you know how to play a simplify gto balance strategy in a lot of spot like Phil G. Even if your opponent study some exploited they will still just burn out in a lot of other spot and end up -ev.

In 6 max it totally different. There a dynamic or meta game. You learn as you raise up in rank that certain spot people will under bluff or overbluff. They can't just target only you and change their view point when it not constant one on one. So the best player will try to figure out big exploited in tendency for different player type. They will target regs perception of a spot that is over or under bluff by a little bit by looking at the best combos to bluff and start from there and test the other regs limit. Now solver study comes in real handy because you looking for the best combos to bluff with.

I also am just amaze by how big of an edge there is in bet size. there so many tells that I didn't know exist. Even the timing tells is huge in plo too.

I would like to also add the mistake in a lot of plo regs thinking that "gto" bet size is small we can't over fold. But in reality there are so many spot that just isn't true. From my experience with lhe where I had hole cards w bovada. I have went through years of different spot where pot odds say you only need 14% to call and people were bluffing only 5% and even w those 5% it was mostly a specific player type or board run out. So in some spot the reality is 0% bluffs and this is online anon. Of course you need to always remember it is still trend so maybe in future it can definitely change.

Day 23

Just pushing along, downswing variance sucks but I am not too worry. Plo is a lot less tilting game than lhe even w 5x more variance. Been playing more Clubwpt and trying to figure out how to adjust to pop tendency on there which is completely different ex
3 way on riv I donk turn and then check riv.

Probably can get +10/bb win rate even w the insane rake. Only 10 sec to act makes a lot of crazy dynamic. A lot of spot is massively over bluff while other is just way under bluff.
