Why not simply release all the files now?
Like I said they might not legally be allowed to - there's underage victim information in these files, potentially client/attorney privilege info, other legal concerns that prevent release. If we take two premises - either they have legal issues in the unreleased files or the DOJ has been corrupt for the past 20 years I think it's fairly reasonable to assume the former. The logic that the DOJ has protected Trump since they got their hands on this info in 2005 10-11 years before his Presidency moronic.

Presumably because he wants to blame other countries for the strait not being secure. Trump is an idiot in most respects, but he does have genuine talent for passing blame for his failures to others. Unfortunately for the ongoing campaign, this has purely political value, it does not matter in war.
Now, if we take the request at face value, there are several issues:
1. The US through its current administration does not value alliances much, they are transactional.
2. The Iran war seems to have been predicated on the idea that the Iranian regime would collapse quickly, there is no sign of a plan for what to do now. The situation in the region is now a cluster****.
3. The US administration has lifted sanctions on Russian oil, the country which is currently threatening Europe and also providing intelligence and weapons to Iran. The countries the US are asking for help have little interest in strengthening Russia.
4. Sending forces to aid the war would likely be rewarded by little else than having to take the blame for Trump's failures and him mocking dead soldiers.
5. The Trump administration is corrupt, and war efforts could quickly be thrown under the bus for Trump's or the inner circle's personal gain.
6. The strategic leadership of this war is a hot mess. The communication from US leadership is abysmally bad.
7. The US is not currently in a good position to "win" this war, and it is difficult to see how other countries joining in could change that.

Just wondering why we (you) aren't demanding action from those in power as well. Yeah, both parties suck and the Dems should obviously have done something about this previously, especially with hindsight. The Reps could and should do something about it right now, but everyone has given up on that I guess.
