Annette Obrestad is back
Her?

I was wondering if she was the one who won a tournament without looking at her cards and they mentioned it within the first 30 seconds so I didn't have to watch any more of it.

i played her loads on words with friends from this site 2+2 after she had big wins and she was a genuine nice person
No offense meant, friend. I was just saying that was the only thing I remembered about her, I'm sure she's lovely.

Nice to see her back and be good to see how it goes for her now. She was underrated in the way she came, saw and conquered.
Cant stand her. Victim complex when she was handed everything possible for luckboxing 1 tourney and being a girl. Had a horrible attitude all the way through her "fame" where she never did anything else. Will be gone again in 6 months when she runs out of money someone else is giving her.
Guys Annette wouldn’t date itt
She always seemed like a nice person.
I’m glad she kept her bangs..
Spoke to her the other day while she was playing. Very sweet person. Hope her comeback is fruitful
yeah all that. there are barely any rootable characters in poker these days. wb annette!!

You lasted longer than I did... the vocal fry was triggering my misophonia.
That said, I always liked Annette, and hoped she might draw more girls/women into the game (which I know now will never come down to one person). Struck me as a cool kid. Welcome back.

you seem fun
She tried the youtuber thing for a while, reviewing strip hotels.
Was very friendly in the few interactions I had with her at the WSOP.
She wasn't portrayed well in a couple of hands on the main event coverage that seems to have swayed the opinion of the narrow minded.
She was pretty nasty in a variety of events/appearences not just the wsope but she seems to have grown up since then so Im willing to give her another chance.
I thought she was a YouTuber for cosmetic reviews and cosmetic application tutorials. Pretty sure I remember seeing a video of her doing that sort of thing.

I played a ton with Annette back when I first learned poker, as we lived in the same area in Norway and played in the same Home Game group (small live tournaments with usually around 15-20 people playing twice a week).
Even though she hadn't even turned 18 back then, she was by far the best player and won probably close to 50% of these tournaments from what I can remember. And I always dreaded having her at my table, as her aggression was relentless.
I will say that although she was generally friendly, she definitely had some arrogance to her; she knew she was very good in poker. And when you become a very successful poker player at such a young age it's probably easy to become a bit entitled and arrogant. Some of that behavior was definitely on display at times when she became famous.
I would be shocked if she is not a very different person now almost 20 years later, and hopefully I run into her during my upcoming Vegas-trip in ten days or so. It sounded like she was going to play a bit more cash games going forward, and I assume she will start small and take it from there.
