The read for the player we're up against seems off. You said he's assumed to be passive, but he's playing aggressively in the current hand, and played the HH like an aggrofish:Read:"V2 ~ mawg, opens for gigantic sizings(30~45), assume to be passive in generalHHfish limps ep, V2 opens for 35 in ep+1Flop Q34cc V2 cbets 60 fish x/cTurn 9 V2 bets 80, fish x/r 200, V2 callsRiv T, fi
Well besides that HH and this hand, villain seemed to be passive.
He had some limp/calls and play hands passively when he didn't have initiative.
Many players including V play hands more aggressively when they have initiative especially as the preflop raiser.
After this hand, aggrofish seems to be a better label.
Well played

FWIW the only time people ever switch gears is when they're up or down really big. If you havent witnessed any of the sort then all thats really happening when you see passive play is that he's just running phenomenally card dead and desperately trying to make hands with ATC. Once he starts raising it's likely part of his overall 40% vpip range which is still going to be littered with junk and basically deserving of an automatic 3bet with 100% of your playable range.
