I hope so. They seem to somehow have survived the ban and global won't so it will be my only option in a year or so. I just can't stand how in-you-face gold is about having nothing to offer and every way to take, They don't have notes, chat, its so sterile. Its just AI designed slop with a terrible UI. I'm still on there and check in from time to time but I can't stand it. I'll strongly consider jumping over with any decent rake back system I just don't see it happening. The cash games there are just insane. Its crazier than the boom. If you can get it in good you can sun run everyday.

I hope they never add rakeback. The games are too good to be clogged up with nitty rakeback "pros". Your winrate will probably go down once that happens. lol

Agree I hope they don't add rakeback and ruin the games. I would like to see some incentive for table starting like they do on global. Would also be nice if they did more of the gift box promotions as even if you don't get much, the games are crazy good during them.

No rakeback is fine if they just lower the rake for SNGs. The 5 chip SNG is over 11% rake. Awful.

I'll never understand players that don't want rake back from a site with obnoxiously high rakes but you do you. Just so weird to me.

Is it obnoxiously high? I thought I read 4% somewhere. That sounds reasonable to me.

Rakeback leads to rakeback grinders, which would swarm the site with a bunch of grinders on the tight side joining the games, making them both much tougher and less fun to play.

Compared to the dozens of sites with even minimal rake back...and the fact that many games have a straddle and ante, yes its very high. Every site has a pretty high rake, especially at lower stakes, so if you remove even a flat % rake back, let alone some rewards program, its a lot of money each month you donate to Gold.

To add to Deoxyribo point, touger games that are less fun to play will also make some of the recs not play as much or at all. More nits, less recs would likely lead to a lower winrate even with rake back. Yes, high rake sucks, the software is horrible but the quality of games make up for it. Stop paying to see the opponents hole cards, don't rabbit hunt and use the timer only when you really need it. That all adds up to higher rake as well.

How about a pay X rake = you can redeem for MTT ticket

The rake cap is the problem not the %.

Go spend an hour playing on ACR and let us know how it goes. They have flat rb, the beast, rake races, and a Stars esk rb program, endless tables, and it's exactly why the games are awful.

Should they do more promotions to give money back? Yes, they should. Should they ruin the games by inviting a bunch of players that provide nothing of value besides liquidity (which they already have)? No, they shouldn't.

rakeback should be funneled back to the biggest losers and the "grinders" should be completely ignored frankly. If you're just barely breaking even in these games welp sorry bro you should go work at in n out burger.

They have other methods in place to funnel money to the biggest losers.

Been playing here for a few months and starting to get Ignition vibes. See lots of players get AI by the turn with pretty weak draws and yet winning lots. Stats don't seem to line up either.

I saw a 28/14 player cold call a 3bet in the SB with 43s, get it AI on the Turn and win a huge pot on the river. Saw another 50/9 player cold 4bet 99 on the BTN vs UTG open. The weird thing is that they will win a huge pot on the river and then exit the game immediately even before their full orbit is up.

I've seen lots of wild plays, which is to be expected, but when it goes against the stats and players jump out so quickly, things start to seem weird.

I make a conscious effort to avoid formats that are susceptible to cheating and I’m up incredible amounts.

1% PFR means AA, KK, and absolutely nothing else ever.

There's lots of weird and random spew on here and suckouts are gonna be common. If you're not up piles still though you just suck.

Yea, I'm always getting it in against a player who coolers me on flop, gets it in pre with a ridiculous hand, or makes some absurd call off and has sub 50 hands played on the site then snap leaves after doubling up.

The chances this is a bot are somewhere around 0.0001%, lol. Only raising AA and KK pre is terrible poker. Bots don't play terrible poker. And any kind of glitch wouldn't last for anywhere remotely close to 233k hands. This is WAY LESS LIKELY to be a bot than an account with normal stats. It's presumably some 78-year-old Old Man Coffee live player, many of whom use this kind of strategy preflop.
