2/5 ~ I almost shat my pants this hand.
2/5 ~ 9 handed
V is very different than your aggressive regs. He's not passive, not super aggro as well. He trapped at least twice the 6 hours I was there. These 2 were the one that went to showdown, many others had no showdown.
He has some aggression factor but haven't seen him do much barreling. His semi~bluffs were 1 and done mostly.

We calling or 5betting??
Hero decides to call.

Normally I'd 5! pre. I get why you didn't tho.
They strike me as more button-clicky than anything else. So give them some buttons to click. Click back the flop now. No, it doesn't make sense, but seriously, you're ahead here 9/10 times. Try to induce some spew. Don't fold yet.
If they've 99, well, that sucks for you.
As played you can call, as you're not afraid of many flush draws with the K of hearts. I'd have 5b pre though

How do we know we're ahead?
What does the 4bet mean?
5b / fold is ok but I would rather call the 4b and let him do his thing. Call flop of course.
Funny, I was just rereading the chapter in SSNLHE about making huge pf raises with AA KK QQ & AKs.
You’re a perceived supernit, and HU & OOP w/KK to a tricky reg who covers your 340BB stack preflop. Just an alltime classic win a small pot or lose a big one situation.
Forgetting previous action, I’d raise to 300, and fold to a jam.
I like flatting the 4bet pre against a small stakes opponent who presumably has a pretty nutted 4bet range. This is assuming you perceive that KK is not strong enough to want to stack off against this opponent, this deep. Most opponents would call your 3-bet with a lot of strong but not nut hands. So when they 4-bet it's often something like QQ+, AK plus some allowance for random spaz that wanted to "see where they were at."
Really though there's nothing in your HHs that says anything about your opponent's preflop 4-bet range, or what their stacking off tendencies are this deep. Still your own nitty image is enough for me to be very cautious facing a 4-bet.
Assuming you're not happy stacking off this deep with KK preflop (that's why you called), the same logic applies on the flop. Just call and see a turn. See how the hand progresses. It's nice that you have the Kh.
Flat pre is good, call now. Not much reason to do anything else.
Also this deep my preflop 3-bet sizing would be much bigger. I would probably make it $80-$100.

I believe the opposite is correct. The deeper you are, the more incentivized you are to make small raises.
You get more value from weaker hands and avoid over-committing with a weak hand yourself.

Ok, in game the quads 99 HH in my head, I thought it was a 4bet from villain w/99 because pot got so big. It was after this hand I confirmed with a reg on my right that it got big because of his straddle. It was a 3bet not a 4bet.
In game I gave villain a wider 4bet range than normal. I messed up.
So on the flop I was like my KK only loses to AA/99. Pot is bloated if V barrels for stack I'm going to call anyway. Might as well...
Note, my reads earlier were he didn't go crazy with barrelling, he was trapping big hands. Yet I still somehow scare of him barreling for stacks.
In game, I went suicidal.
Hero x/r to 300
V calls.
I prayed to thee almighty poker gods, pls no AA/99 for V, and a blank on the turn.

Hero????
You "Went suicidal" and now want our advice on how to continue??
What exactly is your question Dango? Do you want to know how to play KK deepstacked, or do you want us to cheer you on while you punt?
This is a BBV thread disguised as a strat question.
FWIW, I have only ever seen a live player 4-bet less than all in with QQ once in my life. Literally once.
Every other time, the 4th bet (not all-in) is always AA or KK.
I've folded KK preflop twice in my life using that rule of thumb and was shown AA both times.
is that where this thread is going?? Did V have AA??

FWIW Bobby Hoff said in the Harrington book that KK (presumably deepstacked IP) is the hardest hand to play.

I have exactly no clue how to play deepstack, I'm comfortable with 100bb stacks only.
I'm looking for insights/feedback and what others think.
I know I punted. So I can't post a hand I punted??? Isn't it a thing to learn from our mistakes??
If you're so good why do you play 2nl??? Try man up and punt at 100nl.

Well if you read the whole story, you'd know it's because I was playing on a bankroll of $2
Keep reading the blog man. You'll hear all about how I 500x'd it and moved on from 2NL
Don't worry about me. If your response to my strat advice is to say "But you played micro stakes online for the last two months" then you don't understand poker at all. Quit the game bro.

It's because he can't beat 10nl. Which is kind of hilarious ngl, especially on clubwptgold.

Hey OP, just ignore him. 4bet pots are tough and infrequent. Keep the hand histories coming.
Could you possibly be over your head in this game? It seems soft but high variance. Why not just go down in stakes?
