And things like writing (for my own books), editing, and proof reading were often done by me out of town where I could be by myself and work non-stop with no interruptions -- places I would go to were Bishop CA, Mesquite NV, and St. George UT.

Okay, I'll be the one to ask.

Why would you got to places like that just to have no interruptions for book editing?

If it was because you truly had enjoyment of these places and wanted to relax, I'd understand, but it sounds like you traveled this far just to sit in coffee shops and edit books.

Couldn't you just stay home, close the door, unplug the phone, and ask your wife to not interrupt unless there was an emergency?

You might be the first person in history to drive 250 miles to Bishop, CA to sit in a coffee shop and edit a book.

I do enjoy those places but the main reason was to have no distractions and no incentive to do anything else but work on books. I also went to Laughlin a couple of times to work on books. Much of our history book was done there.

The trolling of Brandi on this forum was very brutal and long-running. Yes, Brandi herself posted a lot here and actively participated in the drama. However, I never understood the hypocrisy where Mason treated NWP as the scourge of the community, while allowing this sort of thing in his own house.

That's one of the many reasons my ban didn't make sense.

I didn't break any 2+2 rules, which Mason admitted at the time.

I was not a participant in the Sklansky/Brandi matter.

I never once made fun of Sue or her mom.

I was banned for being a moderator on the NWP forum, supposedly because of offensive content there. However, the content on 2+2 itself was even more offensive, and somehow that was okay.

At least with NWP you knew what you were getting. It was a raw, uncensored forum. 2+2 postured as a respectable and highly moderated forum, but they were selectively allowing some really nasty material, provided it either brought traffic or targeted someone they didn't like.

But weren’t you banned four times from 2+2? That means you were allowed back in three times. Also, if 2+2 was as bad as you say, why did you always want to come back in?

by amplify

en masse, it's French

At least now you have learned something coming here.

Dang! I spelled it that way initially and then thought that doesnt look right and was too lazy to look it up, thx for the 311

And I broke 2+2 rules zero times.

So thanks for showing everyone how petty you are/were.

Or why he can hold you accountable for your association with NWP but feels no accountability of his own for his association with 2p2 during that time.

Personally, I think you’re both guilty of being associated with knowingly hosting abuse.

I thought one of your bans occurred because you were posting under your posting name of Dan_Druff and also posting under another name which would support your Dan_Druff posts, and one of our moderators banned you for this. Wouldn’t this be a rule violation?

Do I not have this right?

It's pretty pathetic to get banned from your own forum. He reminds me of rabbi david kaye

Mason,

Please, if possible, keep us posted on Sklansky's health when you receive updates. As I've mentioned before on 2p2, I've looked up to both you and David for many years. Meanwhile learning a great deal about game theory and poker.

I don’t have any new information on David.

I assume relative to your game theory comment you’re talking about the new book.

Yes, please keep us updated. 😀

I don't know many details, but David is not at all well. If he was better or gets better, I am sure he would/will be responding, himself. And that's all I will be saying. As for the rest of the conversation, see my under title.

You understand how its possible that someone doesn't like 2+2, but overcomes this because he wants to reach its audience ? Just how I dislike Elon, but still use twitter.

What is meant by that last sentence?

location

Sure. Just checking it wasn’t meant to shut down conversation. Obviously people can speak about their own personal experiences.

yes. I have no authority here anymore. l meant see my location.

which reads:"This just seems ridiculous to me"

Now that is really all I have to say until there is more definitive news relating to David's current health.

Your undertitle says “Administrator”

I used to admire Sklansky, Lederer, and Ferguson as intellectual, mathematical poker players, different from the negative stereotypes. However, ...

My undertitle says Wholesome Mod.

But am I a whole mod, or a some mod? It's rather confusing to say the least.

Do I not have this right?

You do not have this right.

You banned my original "Dan Druff" account because you were butthurt about my being a moderator on a site which wrote bad things about David's treatment of Brandi. That was #1. You acknowledged I had broken no 2+2 rules.

I returned years later under an account named "Toilet Bowl" without saying it was me, because I wanted to call out Lock Poker for their ripping off of players -- a site you continued to have as a 2+2 sponsor long after it was 1000% clear they were scammers, by the way. Occasionally I had to mention "Dan Druff" in the third person, because I was very big on calling out Lock on my own site and on Twitter, and wanted to bring people's attention to it, without also getting banned here. TheEngineer (Rich Muny) recognized my writing style and called it out as me, which I admitted. Rich and I now get along well, btw. I was not banned at that point, though. I was banned when you decided you didn't like that a certain post of mine on PFA contained an erroneous allegation against some poker room manager you didn't know. It was the weakest of weak reasons to ban me, because it had nothing to do with 2+2, and the person in question was a stranger to you. I also took credit for the erroneous allegation, apologized to the guy, and corrected it. I was given bad info by a usually reliable source. So again, I didn't break any 2+2 rules.

My third account "Kilowatt" was made after you invited me back to 2+2 through your attorney. I wanted to return as "Dan Druff", but for some bizarre reason, David was triggered by seeing the "Dan Druff" name (lol), so he demanded I choose another name. So I chose Kilowatt, in reference to my first-ever online poker handle. I got banned because you were repeatedly trolling everything I posted, and then I'd sometimes fire back, and you got insulted. So you broke your agreement with me and banned me, despite (again) not having broken any 2+2 rules.

My fourth account is this.

So it sounds like I was banned 3 times, not 4. Maybe I'm missing one, because I'm not obsessed with my "four bans" like you are.

Other than returning under an account I pretended wasn't me, I always followed 2+2 rules, and always made thoughtful and detailed posts.

Unfortunately, this forum was owned by a grudge-happy curmudgeon with a power complex, so it was hard to keep an account here for the long term.

Just about zero people here supported any of my bans, by the way. But you're renowned for doubling down on bad/dumb decisions.

I know Todd posted under an account named "Toilet Bowl" at some point.

It must drive you crazy how successful 2+2 was.

What happened at the book stand is exactly how I said. I was there to get a book signed, Micon approached the stand to introduce himself, and you exploded into a rage. You stood up and charged him, roared in his face and got chest to chest, unintentionally shoving several people in the process, including me. It was frightening, you are a large man and I didn’t know how violent

Delicate time?
