1/3 - Is this villain adjusting to us or just has a hand?
1/3 - 9 handed
This was a saturday 3pm
Hero is an Asian guy who just sat down and outright picks up our opponent to our very right is a huge aggro fish. Aggressive, opening wide(a5s), cbet/barrel with gutshot, no fold btn, etc. So we started iso'ing his limps a few times, he was limp/calling hands like k5o etc. He min x/r k5o on 456cc in a 4way pot facing 1 bet and 1 caller.
Anyhow, the third or fourth time(in 1 orbit) we iso raise again vs him, he just limp/3bet ships 500 eff.
He even made a speech saying he was tired of my ****.
We folded quickly with QJo.
Now, do you take this as villain making a stand and we should tighten up our iso range?
Or, do you take this as villain having a real hand, made a speech play to make us want to call wider.
What would your future iso range vs villain be? Still loose iso vs him? or Tighten up alot?

I'm not a big one for tells, mainly because I've been burned too many times, but speech play is one I do pay attention too. Good fold.
As for what to do going forward, I'm not sure a sample size of one of him re-raising (especially with the speech play), is enough to say he's playing back at us. I might tighten up a little, but certainly not a lot, and get a bigger sample size.
Do you believe your read that V is a fish? If so fish to not adjust that fast.
Good fold, and I think they were trying to induce.
I'd just keep doing what I was doing, tbh. They *could* be on some weird Caro-inspired madman act, but w/e. Just play your game.
Good fold. Definitely keeping ISOing with the same range that you were initially using to ISO him.
I think the speech was to try to get you to call him when he had a monster. I would keep isolating him and unless his frequency gets out of hand I would fold all but our best hands to his shoves.
I read posts like this and it’s strange to me. It’s framed like it’s just you isolating a fish, but I wonder where are all the other players.
Isolating a guy three times in one orbit? I just don’t see other players not getting in the mix.
This sounds like a reasonable discussion playing 50-100, but at 1/3 it kinda makes no sense to me. Nobody does a lot of isolating, the pots are multiway.
Please no offense to anyone
It’s just my opinion and I don’t mind being told I’m wrong. Just trying to improve my game
The limp-3B-jam-speech? Seen it a hundred times. That's AA/KK. Easiest. Fold. Ever.
Go right back to Iso'ing him. Maybe don't do it with rags, but otherwise, hell yeah.
Even better - start min-clicking him.
Post-flop, just check a bunch. He likes to be the aggressor, so let him. Raise the $hlt out of him whenever you have a strong hand or tons of equity. Mix it up with some bet-check-bet and bet-bet-check lines. He'll lose his $hlt.
Just out-play him.
I'd fold AQs there let alone QJo. At least the first time he did it, coupled with the speech.
I would be raising reasonably snug anyway so I wouldn't adjust much. Like the guy is a fish but we still need a hand of some kind to be raising in the first place.
You can make his life pretty miserable with position. If the table is going to let you overlimp, you can do some of that from the BTN as well.
Spoiler
Ok after this hand, I had a feeling he was tired of my iso's. Nobody was iso'ing him, everybody was playing their own cards.
I should probably keep iso'ing him until he proves he's actually tired of my crap.
In game, I nitted it up, about an orbit or two later,
v opened, we called w/66
4way flop 864ss, he cbets 35, we raises to 100, he calls
Turn 3 we pot it, he asks why im leaving like 70 behind and not jam? Maybe he picks up we were bluffing, he jams it in with k9cc??? This was free money no draw, nothing.
As for why I didn't jam because I feel villain might be scared of overbet jam. While a pot size bet charges value and not scare him away. I thought about betting smaller but he might just check/fold river or ships when he hits or board gets dangerous.
He rebought 300 twice, and punted them off with random bluffs to others.
Eventually he moved to directly behind us, not sure if he does that to try to get our money or trying to change 'luck'. He stopped punting after the 3rd rebuy, we nitted it up the whole time.
Eventually we had a feeling no one was giving free money away, we went to play plo.
Speech and limp/3!s are both tells of AA/KK. He might not be that strong, but easy fold.
If he is going to ship for 500, I wouldn't worry about isolating light. It is really easy to fold to 500. If he does that a lot, you can call with your premium hands and fold everything else.
I raise/3bang all kinds of trash if the game is right. OP should, too.
If I move to your direct left it means I have a target and it's you.
