President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

One need look no further than the link below to see how pathetic Trump and his supporters are.

This has to be one of the more pathetic things “the right” has done since being hijacked by Trump.

“We have alienated the rest of the world with our over-the-top assholishess, so we’ll have our own pathetic party!”

This may be more pathetic than Trump “closing the Kennedy Center for renovations” after learning no one will perform there now because Trump is so loathed.

Straight. Up. Losers.

Lol I don't even get what they are trying to say about magazines. Of course if you're carrying a weapon, you're probably going to have at least one mag. Would be odd to carry a weapon, but have no ammo. Very weird conversation.

by checkraisdraw

Weird conversation on the part of the msnbc host or weird conversation on the part of the White House?

by housenuts

The fact they are even bringing up magazines. Like who cares. Seems irrelevant. Probably trying to push a narrative that must've had something else in mind with so many rounds.

by checkraisdraw

Again confused on who “they” is. Can you specify?

Still waiting for an answer to this.

The situation with this particular agent is even worse but probably impossible to prove in court. He'd been dragged by a car 6 months ago, so he got real on the job training. When something like that happens to you that requires 38 stitches, you have to think you would reflect what could I have done different? What will I do if that happens again? Seems this guy came to the con

The fact that the agent was dragged by a car earlier is not relevant to t(e determination of what a reasonable police officer would do in this situation. It is an objective, not subjective standard.

who do you think???

"Probably trying to push a narrative that must've had something else in mind with so many rounds."

stop being dumb and trying to pick another fight where we likely agree on something but instead of being able to agree you guys like to pick fights, twist words, and jump to illogical conclusions.

I’m asking a very simple question. Why are you trying to be evasive?

Last time we talked you told me not to jump to conclusions about what you are arguing so I’m respecting that. You don’t want me to read anything into your posts then I won’t. Now you want it both ways?

If you think how many magazines he had on him is relevant to anything, then maybe we don't agree on this.

Yes, I think it’s relevant in the sense that the administration brought it up and it’s a stupid narrative that should be addressed, so the sergeant and the host from the video I posted were right to do so. Do I think it’s relevant to whether the ICE shooting was justified? No, due to the argument laid out by Rococo, and the argument laid out by the sergeant.

Being dragged by a car is an indication of stupidity.

cmon guys lets just use Democrat logic on the situation. Yeah a few folks got killed its tragic but the majority of ICE officers do their job in a professional manner without shooting anybody. Lets not trash thew whole group just because of a few shootings . Its such a small %

when did democrats use this logic?

Better a thousand innocent men locked up than let one guilty man roam free, ey?

by Gorgonian

There's some stunning (and oddly loud) ignorance of the law around here lately.

And ignorance is not an excuse, you’re all going to jail

On illegal immigrants killing Americans

by Gorgonian

Firing 10 (I heard 11, but I'll go with 10) shots into someone's back while they are restrained, pepper sprayed, disarmed, and facedown on the ground can never be defended.

Ever.

Even if you could somehow justify the first shot (nope), there is no possible explanation for the next 9.

THIS!!!

by lozen

On illegal immigrants killing Americans

The rate of crime for immigrants is lower than the rate of crime for american citizens.

but what about

The rate of crime for illegal immigrants is 100%

by housenuts

The rate of crime for illegal immigrants is 100%

People can't be illegal, only actions can, so in a strict sense, that number is 0.

If you mean undocumented immigrants, no, the rate of crime is not 100%. Nowhere near. The vast majority have not committed a crime by being here undocumented. That is a civil offense.

In a strict sense, doing something illegal is a crime.

If you're an illegal immigrant, aka an immigrant who has done something illegal, that rate is 100%

No.

A crime is a criminal offense. Being undocumented is not a criminal offense.

No.

therefore undocumented people are not illegal immigrants...

by housenuts

You are just dead set on being wrong, as usual.

But, I do enjoy kicking your stupid ignorant ass around once in awhile.

ah cool, i didn't know cornell law school had an actual definition for it. thought it was a colloquial trumpism.

by Gorgonian

A crime is a criminal offense. Being undocumented is not a criminal offense.

Put that ignoramus on ignore.

Everyone has J-walked at some point, so everyone is a criminal. Stupid semantic game over.
