Figured it's time to bump this thread again.

My lame friends probably won’t have a super bowl party again so hopefully I get an UberEats 40% offer.

Might do Mexican.

I've been on a bacon wrapped jalapeno kick lately so probably those again.

That reminds me of a good bacon wrapped chicken tenders recipe I have. Probably staying home and that's a good meal for me too.

As usual, and per host's request, I'll be bringing my green chili cheesy chicken gorp* and a couple bags of tortillas chips to my buddy's place. He'll have some kind of grilled meat entree/sides and a couple of cylinders of craft beer, also as usual. Looking forward to it, if not the game itself.

* - Cubed chicken breast, Cream O' Chicken soup, sour cream, shredded cheddar to create soupy mix, served over tortilla chips ("plain Doritos" on the OG recipe I got from my mom). Always a hit, and about the only thing I bring to these kind of events.

Bacon wrapped chicken tenders!

1 tsp each of salt, pepper, onion powder, oregano, and paprika, mixed together. Toss tenders in the seasoning mixture. Wrap with bacon. Cook in oven at 450 for 15-20 minutes. Broil on high for 5 minutes to crisp the bacon.

👍

No photos but I made a green chili dip as follows:

1 onion, 3 cloves garlic, 1 cup hatch chilis (505 brand from costco), sauteed with olive oil, 1t each cumin, coriander, and chili powder. 1t salt.

blended it with 2cups full fat greek yogurt and about a half cup sour cream, juice of one lime

let set in the fridge for a few hours to firm up

topped with more hatch chilis, a drizzle of chili crisp, and chopped cilantro. Phenomenal!

Mmm. Saving that one.

Sorry, what's the "green chili" bit of that?

Snap! Couple of cans (8oz) Hatch diced green chilis.

This year I added a can of diced jalapenos, but it didn't add anything I could tell.

same ingredient as in jack's recipe
green chili is both a veg and a dish
and coriander is such a workhorse spice for us these days
often choose it over chili powder

Bumping so I remember to read through and find something good for next Sunday.

I'm having a group of family over. Nieces want Detroit pizza and I want Pork Chili Verde, both Kenji style, so that's what I'm making. Maybe a buffalo cauliflower, depends what everyone else brings.

Thanks for the bump. Gotta fire up the smoker again. Haven't used it in at least 6 months

Making meatballs, a rotel dip, veggies & dip, and some mixed fruit.

Just the gf and I, so nothing too fancy for us.
