President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
bahbah....you gotta admit the Obama, right now, is way way way sharper than Trump, right? Not even close, right?
I haven’t heard Obama speak in a year or more, but assuming he’s the same now as he was then, yes I’d say Obama is sharper than trump. Obama is also the best public speaker we’ve had since I started following politics.
Listening to Trump clumsily deliver his Pocahontas jibes brought back warm memories for me of Obama stumbling through his “the 80s called and want their foreign policy back” unzinger.
I’m 60 and by far the best public speaking I’ve ever heard was a two hour one on one interview Romney did at BYU’s School of Government around 2010. Had an election for the open POTUS for next 20 years seat been held the next day he’d’ve gotten 75% of the vote.
The last POTUS who was really quick on his feet/sharp-witted was Truman, though JFK LBJ & early Reagan had their moments.
My pet theory is Nixon & HRC were very similar in many ways but that’s another thread.
Trump does suffer from delusions of adequacy
He’s also getting the gun grabbies
I think if he said the reason why he wants voter information is so that he can confiscate the guns of any registered Democrat, he would get at least 40% support by Republicans and probably get 70% support from them if he went on for 45 minutes about how dangerous the Democrats are.

No, I mean all this “2A doesn’t apply under xyz” stuff coming from Noem, BP captain, etc.

How long till US news reports stop reporting individual ICE killings, and start with 'Yesterday, X people died during ICE operations....'?

Even these nutters are calling out their bull ****.
You think it's possible that Obama has gone downhill in the last year to the point that he is less sharp than Trump?
Yes, I have seen personally how quickly dementia can hit. I haven't heard anything about obama in a year or so so I don't think what I said is unreasonable.
****ing imagine being such a braindead racist ****ing simp that you listen to donald trump in 2026 and need a conditions to think Obama is smarter
Blahblah as always is a real piece of ****
I don't know what you all want from me. I said obama a year ago when I last saw him was sharper than trump is today. I'm not sure how you all expect me to guess someone's mental capacity when I haven't heard or seen the person in over a year.
Rainingmen, you may want to seek help if you think it is racist against black people for someone to say our only black president is sharper than our current white one while also saying obama is the greatest speaker he's seen as president. I hope you are ok.
FYI - I know 2+2 mods don't temp ban or ban liberal posters in political threads, but I do want to let you know I reported your personal attack for calling me braindead racist and a piece of **** for saying one black person is sharper than one white person. Considering the context of what I said it seems as if you are suggesting I am racist against white people, but considering your posting history it seems you are suggesting I am racist against black people. Either way, I was talking about one person of each race so it seems odd for you to assign my post across all of either race.

You probably need the number of people killed by ice to be greater than the number of kids who die per year eating hotdogs to get any real traction on that.
In all seriousness, ICE just isn't hitting the death numbers that Dems are hoping for. In context, ice related car wrecks kill 1.8k/yr, falling through ice into cold water kills 250/yr and slip and falls on snow/ice are about 17k/yr (all numbers from chatGPT). Dem politicians and the media need to work a bit harder to encourage more people to be more violent towards ICE if they want counters on US news stations.
“In all seriousness, here’s a load of bullshit.”
Lol, not at all. Before calling for an investigation, they said this in the preceding paragraph:
For months, radical progressive politicians like Tim Walz have incited violence against law enforcement officers who are simply trying to do their jobs. Unsurprisingly, these calls to dangerously interject oneself into legitimate law-enforcement activities have ended in violence, tragically resulting in injuries and fatalities.
Which they have continued to post that he has a right to be armed but the cops have the right to kill him (my language) because he's interfering with their duties.
Even if one were to make the case that he was interfering with law enforcement, the punishment for that is not murder. They're trying to have their cake and eat it too, but it's a bad look to anyone with a brain.
All of my ice death numbers were from chatGPT and like Wikipedia it’s always 100% correct.
I was called racist for suggesting a black man was sharper than a white man. I’m not sure how any reasonable person can suggest I was being racist towards a black man after reading my post.
lol. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Trump's tariffs proved to be a "useful tailwind in the homestretch" to get the deal over the line, one EU diplomat told the BBC.
In the past seven months, India has signed major trade agreements with the UK, Oman and New Zealand, and a 2024 pact signed with the four-nation European Free Trade Association bloc of Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein came into effect last year. It signed a trade pact with Australia in 2022.
