Im not broke and I borrow money/lend money all the time. Its a liquidity thing. Its hard always having enough cash on hand given the complexities of moving money around/security of having a lot of cash on hand

While I don't lend or borrow money it's super common in nosebleed stakes for liquidity issues. Even more so back then when crypto and zelle/Venmo type transfers from smartphones didn't exist yet.
Chip died unexpectedly. Ivey likely owed from borrowing to keep playing a poker game or he lost sports bet. That doesn't make him broke. Nobody broke snap pays back someone's wife when they died who didn't even know about the debt.
It's funny the OP thinks he made Ivey look bad when this shows him to get the exact opposite.
