Interesting donk bet HHs.. wonder what the solve output would be for both HH? likely leaning towards fold on both

i ran a sim on the first one and it does fold AQ but the second hand, we are far away from solver land so i didnt even bother looking that one up 😀

i cashed out the rest of my account balance on wpt a few days ago and im not planning on playing there anymore. i didnt like playing games without studying and that site is run the worst anyway. highest rake, worst software, not regulated, and the format is completely different than anywhere else. this is prob my final results on wpt

im back to focusing on studying for the 6max games on wsop. still playing a little live here and there but mostly just to take a break from online. ive also been battling more on wsop than i have in the past. playing some 3 handed 1k and 2k games unless theres enough action at 500. i dont reg game much at 500 and lower tho because rake is more bbs there

wsop 2025

prob shouldve used a bigger size ott here but overall i think my line is ok
srp cb20, he r50, i 3b60, he ca,
turn i b30, he calls,
riv i ck , he jams, i ca

Finish the year Strong!

Also curious, how do you feel the live games in Vegas are compared to online? looking at the higher stakes Youtube Shorts by bostonjimmy and the games seems ridicoulously soft (although I assume getting invited in is the hard part)

2025 ended up being a pretty good year for me. i played 1145 hours online which is a bit less than i hoped, but i also played a little live and spent a good amount of time studying; so overall im pretty satisfied with the work i put in last year.

wsop 2025

150bb eff, i 3b, he calls
i cb30, he calls
i 2bar90, he calls
i 3bar30, he jams, i call (i prob shouldve just jammed but small ended up working out better this hand because i run the best )

srp, i cb20, he calls
i 2bar75, he calls
he leads 33, i r100, he folds

most of my live action is just 5 10 10 at the wynn and i dont even play that very often but its def softer than equivalent stakes online. soemtiems the games are incredible, half the table are recs. other times its 7 regs, but tbh i can tell most of the regs in those games dont do very much work on their game.

bellagio late night 5 10 can also be really good sometimes. i play that even less but it seems like every time i play a 2am session at the bellagio its a table full of splashy recs and the straddle or double straddle is on every hand. one time a few months ago the table agreed to do a round of 5 10 20 40 80. this old guy named tom (u prob know him if u play late night/early morning at bellagio) just sat down and i told him it was a splashy game so his first hand he triple straddled to 80. when the nitty old guy does this the rest of the table needs to do it also or we look like a bunch of btches 😃 so we all did it. there were 4-5 allin preflop hands that orbit iirc. ive never seen so many low suited connectors get allin preflop lol

Nice, well done. I'll be in Vegas early march for work, might check out the late night Borg 5 10.

Best of luck in 2026!

Well played I play both hands the same way. I would of bet small on the river with the flush card hit as well. its just hard for him to call with worse and that small bet makes them want to make a move sometimes thinking you are block betting. They also have to respect our small bets when we are bluffing so it gets more credit as a value bet.

feels like its been pretty rough the last couple months but after looking at the graph it doesnt seem that bad 😃 ive been playing some mtts here and there which has been a nice change of pace even tho... 160bb effective, i 4b pre, he calls, i cb25, he calls, i 2bar60, ca, he donks50, i jam, he folds allin on the turn wsop wpt

It is how I played online poker cash games for 25 years successfully, Firing up a big gtd mtt any days they had them and use one bullet at the end of late reg and every year I either binked one or 2 or ran deep in a few that gave me a huge boost to my br. It covers any bad downswings during the year. And I told mtt players while you are playing mtts and only have a few left bum hunt fish in cash games. It makes no sense to me to only play one format or the other. The player are awful in mtts. Cash game players have a huge edge.

Long time listener, first time caller. Great thread and results, I hope you continue running well.

If you could go back in time to your novice poker-self, what would you tell him/her? What were some mistakes you made as a novice that you've realized in hindsight?

Great Thread. thx.
