Winning a Championship and then getting Luka for the player traded isn't good enough?

When did the Wolves win a ring??

By far the best 24mo stretch in Wolves history.

Jaylen Brown: Majority of players are living check to check.🙄

Yeah, I think this is kind of what I'm getting at. Nico is a moron, but he just came out and said it:"The future to me is 3-4 years from now. 10 years from now I don't know. They probably bury me and Jason Kidd by then. Or we bury ourselves."5+ years is a long time for something, anything, significant to go wrong, but these guys don't really feel the price since they'll be gone

And this is the rub right here. Its pretty much the problem for all GMs and coaches and its a talk they need to have with their owners (which im sure they do).

If im the GM, I go for staged slightly above mediocrity every year. If you go 48-34 every year and get the 5th seed with a 2nd round exit you're guaranteed to stay for 10 years! Just keep saying, but NEXT year sir, we're almost there!

You don't have to explain that to me, I'm a Pacers' fan, aggressive mediocrity is our brand.

Also, me today with the Bucks' new:

Owners make bank on playoff games. Players barely get compensated for them.

Giannis if you’re contemplating forcing yourself to the Knicks… just think of all our amazing Greek restaurants.

Looks like he's forcing himself to the hospital.

(Fortunately, New York has the #1 orthopedic hospital in HSS.)

i think he faked an injury, he's quit on the bucks

welcome to New York City!

Giannis- pretendinitis (doubtful)

Scottie Barnes+picks for Giannis c'mon Toronto is like the 4th biggest market in the league.

Win win trade for both teams.

No idea where he ends up though. Some fckery could happen. You can offer players no show jobs for 50 mil under the table and get away with it.

Giannis aint going to Toronto after they got rid of his mentor Masai.

Hawks have to be the favs based on what they can give. I mean, OKC obviously has the deepest war chest but cmon

All I'm saying is that the fact that it's even possible is a major flaw in the draft rule architecture because a championship squad can't play and develop all of that talent. SGA, JDub, and Chet are signed. Not exactly the scenario a high USG future NBA star is looking for, let alone multiple in the same class. The entire point of drafts is to distribute that talent.

Not sure what you’re trying to say but it does t make any sense to me. It’s not the Thunder’s fault they trade and drafted better than anyone else. And it also don’t mean there is a flaw in the draft system. Or you’re saying the thunder overvalued those picks because they are less valuable to a deep championship level team? Either way it’s not an inherent flaw in the draft system. If anything thr current systwm punishes teams like the thunder as it bwcomes untennable to keep a strong team of homegrown talent together for the long term.

Every GM does that deal.

If Giannis says he will go to your team, but you need to trade all your first plus one of your good kids and a couple of others for one of the other Top 8 players in the league, I think you do it. And I don't think you think about it too long.

This was 5 days ago lol

Toronto is still an awesome market for someone who doesn’t particularly like living in the US and plans to retire in Greece. The guy has lived in Milwaukee for a decade ffs.

Yes, but how are their greek restaurants?

Giannis requests trade. Welcome to NMFY.

So I recall reading a nasty post earlier this season that it was no longer possible to skip forward when watching league pass games. Is this still the same? Assuming I will purchase it directly from nba.com and not that Amazon crap pile. n

I said last year it'd be ridiculously stupid for OKC to trade for Giannis. That's way more obviously true now. Why would they even entertain it.

It depends on your TV. I can't pause/FF/etc on my samsung downstairs but I can on my sony upstairs. My wife is thrilled with this since she gets to watch all the bad Christmas movies she wants on the main TV.

edit: that's using amazon prime. Not sure about going directly through nba.com. I would assume you can pause because it's ****ing 2025.

Yeah, I was referring to usingnba.com on the browser which is what I’ve used historically and it was seamless. I hope they didn’t kill that experience. It was pretty awesome. You could watch a game in like 30 minutes.

Stfu

The browser functions are just fine. I can pause and FF.

There’s one game a week, exclusively on Peacock, where i can’t pause on certain televisions

Sooo ... when are we going to talk about Tyrese Maxey being the MVP so far this year?

maxey's energy is out of this world
