Faster than Ever: Loco runs a sub5 Mile
Blood work came back with excellent results. I am healthier at 35 than I was at 19!!! If you guys remember from my old
I doubt I am saying anything news to you, but as someone who lives in a Mexican (ethnicity) majority state, I have to say Mexicans certainly aren't doing themselves any favors with their diets. They drink Coke (not in the generic term, but literally the sugar version of Coca Cola) like everyone else drinks water, put mayonnaise on everything, eat that super greasy birrieria meat where you might as well just be IV'ing grease straight into your veins etc. etc.
Seems like some simple diet fixes would mitigate a lot of the "genetic" disposition towards diabetes.
Nah man, familial hypercholestrolomia is not solved by lifestyle changes. I have the receipts, ripped to shreds I still have LDL that accumulates plaque.
If someone wanted to look at this closer (mainly montecore), check this out
Broken YouTube LinkMy boy Simon Hill went vegan for a decade. LDL about 110 til age 29. 10 years vegan with 70 LDL. Still accumulated plaque. Sickening.
Now Mexicans are indeed fatties, some studies say more obese than Americans. That's saying something, so lifestyle changes is enough for many of them. But not all.
I however have solved familial cholesterolomia after 25 years of testing and tinkering, and no new generation of locos will ever die from CVD. My man Dr Alo says lifetime LDL <50 makes cvd an orphan disease. Folks, CVD is the number 1 killer in the world. Obviously that's simplifying things and stuff like blood pressure must be taken to account. But still an amazing declaration from a leading cardiologist.
This whole journey on H&F started close to 15 years ago when my father was taken by CVD. Then it continued after my brother was taken by CVD at age 41. But the buck stops in 2025, I am now confident I will make it to 80+. Sure i still have atherosclerosis but I might reverse it a little bit, but the most important progress has been made. No new plaque accumulation with an Apob of 44. Amazing.
My most recent total cholesterol result was 52 mg/dl in freedom units, with 20 mg/dl HDL. No apo-b, as lol NHS.
I got mine with lifestyle and a statin (atorvastatin, I think.)
52 total cholesterol is cancer. Never heard of such a low amount. Curve for mortality vs LDL is J shaped. Mainly because people who are about to die have low Ldl.
Are you sure you did the conversion correctly? The Twitter cardiologists play games on how low can ldl get and stop at 40-50 ldl. Your statin might be too high dose, eat a double cheeseburger brother, with a pint of beer to pump up that hdl.
I did cock up the conversion. Total 112; HDL 42, trigs 35, calculated LDL 54.
Those are great numbers.
As you're our biggest belt squat fanboy, I've got a couple of questions. I'm thinking of getting this for the home gym:
https://www.fringesport.com/products/mam...
Any thoughts on the product? Also wondering if anyone ever wears a regular lifting belt when they do belt squats. So, you would have on your standard belt and then you would put the belt squat apparatus belt over that. Seems weird. But all my barbell squats are belted, so it seems weird to squat without one.
That probably works but i have never seen it, that guy's technique looks perfect.
No you do not need a belt. There is zero pressure on your back.
11/27 Turkey Trot 5k 20:11
A couple of hiccups, had to tie shoes and I left headphones in car. Ran 6:35, 6:30, 6:22. Definitely had a 19:59 in me with the headphones.
I guessed my shape close to the dot, Even though my average training was 9:30 a mile. Running is great when you never blow up in a race. Just a combination of heart rate knowledge and heat adjustments makes racing and training fun and enjoyable. The donk runners all breathing super heavy after 1 mile, must be miserable to run when you are a donk.
Got married bro, was dancing and paying bills.
Great time! Honestly not sure I could beat that right now.

All that running and can’t even break 20 mins. Donk alert.

Honestly surprised that you didn't go sub 20. Nevertheless, that's an excellent time for an old. Had family over for Thanksgiving and most of us ran a Turkey Trot on the morning of. 11-year-old nephew who runs cross country, came in at 21:00 flat, and my brother tells me he's about top 10% in the races he does. So it seems like you give the top 11-year-olds a run for their money.
I still run/train like a donk and while I wasn't breathing heavy at 1 mile, I ran a fairly uncomfortable 28:00. I'm an slow AF, though and aspire to a sub 60 min 10K by next year.
While I'm here, what's your favorite running sock to prevent blisters and such. I got some Balega ones on sale a few years ago and I think they're decent, but I'd be shocked if there wasn't something better out there.
Gonna run this Houston Half in a few minutes. Gonna go with marathon pace heart rate for the whole race. Should average 7:14 to 7:25. We shall see, we will give it what the heart giveth. Maybe finish last mile strong to prove a little gas left.
Good to see you still active on here. Congrats on the race.
Great work! Seems well paced if you had that much WIM to close it out.
Any chance of a manicure before the next hand nude?
Congrats on the half’
15 weeks out from London marathon. Had a really good 4 weeks of training. Not really inception mode yet, but getting there. Logging and 40 mile weeks will get me to inception mode.

Fitness and mileage graphs starting to look good.
Inception mode is a state of mind, rarely achieved. It happens when exercise and habit brews into a powerful cocktail involving addiction like qualities. Combine that with a goal and you have entered inception mode. Sure its time consuming but everything in life is easier when you are inception mode (work and family life included). Less alcohol consumption. It's a powerful state, very hard to get there. Close to impossible for a fatty. Maybe the only other two to enter inception mode are former feelwrath when he became a rowing champion and currently the montecore. Can it be done with weights only? Maybe but I think you probably need cardio.
I think logging everyday and having a reason to race London will get me back to inception mode. I definitely have a CHIQ in me at London and possibly a BQ, pretty sure those marathons accept international race. Obviously already ran them but always nice to have an option for a possible training run in an electric environment or just in case a friend wants to rumble.

Pokerron broke my PB by 30 seconds, bastard ran the Manchester marathon last weekend in 2:57:16.
I went off clomid for two months and it was a dumpster grease fire. Fertility completely shot. And even though I was increasing mileage, my running went into its darkest period ever.
I have talked about Roid Delusion before. It started with G4S saying he feels no different at 5000ng/dl versus 200ng/dl. And over the years, others have done the same thing. Cha made same crazy comment about how strength peaks in your 40s! Evo talking about perfecting diet and exercise selection. I thought feel wrath and I were not really affected by it, we were on super light dosages of stuff and we were getting older.
But nah, feel wrath too. I mean he facking became a world class rower in his 50s!! WTF. And so i am completely shocked that I suffered from it too.
Clomid is a powerful drug for a man in his 40s. It basically gives you running ability of a 25 year old. The differences in vo2max are outrageous.
I think back to some of the biggest breakthroughs I have made in this forum when I first joined in 2012.
* I was colored golden after training high volume (some research shows 750 calorie burn in 30 minutes from lifting)
* I discovered protein acts as a GLP-1. My coach had me on 250g and I struggled to eat it. I was always so full.
* Fakebusto and I discovered Lean massing. Megabulking is fake, for people on roids. Some recent research shows equals gains from slight surplus or even maintenance (recomp) vs mega bulking.
* The secret to running was doing enjoyable workouts only and this required you knowing how to train appropriately with heart rate. RPE was too perceived.
But I think the most important one I made, is that Clomid is extremely powerful for a 40+ man. Brings you back to 25. I mean i would have guessed it for muscle building purposes but for running/vo2max? Nah, would have never dreamed how powerful it is. For sure Bryan Johnson is lying and saying he is not on clomid. His vo2max and physique are too similar to mine. Maybe even athleanX.
Anyways I am back on clomid but I did too much damage going off after 4 years of being on. I am aiming for 3:30 at London marathon.
I didn't even want to write this, why help anymore? And why log anymore, half my gains come from clomid. I was suffering from Roid Delusion thinking I could take EV in a nood off at age 48, lifting twice a week.
It's quite embarrassing actually. But the numbers are truly shocking. I have blood work and heart rate data. After going back on, after 4 days I could feel the power. My resting heart rate went down. My HRV went up. I picked up a minute on easy pace after two weeks. Now I am doing doubles again and waking up at 6am. When I went off, I could only dream of doing a double. And I would sleep til 11am. The bloodwork and semen analysis was crazy.
I basically discovered the fountain of youth for a 40+ year old. And you can get it shipped from India without a prescription for $30 a month. Or get it over the counter in mexico for $20. Truly amazing. And at the same time disheartening. I have to fess up to all my good friends that I now have a little secret. Basically all my training knowledge goes to zero and all my gains are due to clomid. I cant even best pokerron's PB because obviously its the facking clomid. The only thing that would motivate me is if he said he is on TRT or clomid and that we are on. And I obviously never log workouts here again. It's the facking clomid bro. I wouldn't be surprised its +EV for any man past 40, do to the gains in vo2max.
Syndrome also suffered from roid delusion. Guy was suffering from limp dick and he started raging at 2000ng/dl, front squatting 4 wheels but apparently he didn't feel any different.
Now I understand what was happening to my boys, the three great white limp dicks (melkerson, solman, yugo. Low T levels.
Oh well, do whatevers. I am back on, for life. Maybe check T levels at age 55. I think 50mg is too much for me, I am most likely a hyper responder. 25 mg might be enough. The Indians sent me 100mg, dont know what the fack dosing that is. I'd probably be raging at 1500ng/dl on 100mg.
