If people are bored, you should try out IBD's mini walrus. I promise if it gets at least 8 entries, I run one of my own.

arroz con garbanzos

I do love chick peas and rice!

chopsticks are fantastic for eating things like potato chips, especially at the poker table.

I've always enjoyed eating popcorn with chopsticks.

only gluten free options yesterday were wings or pho at the poker room and despite that i think they shouldn't even be serving wings - that's what i ordered because the "kitchen" only has a microwave and air fryer so didn't want some microwaved pho that was assembled earlier in the week

but i still stand by that no poker room should be selling finger food - especially saucy finger food like wings

so obviously ate the fries and attempted eating the wings with a fork

wished i had chopsticks - could have pulled it off much easier - eventually just sat out an orbit to finish off the wings that i could only manage a single bite off of with the fork only tactic

if they serve pho, they have chopsticks. next time ask for chopsticks

wings are gonna be tough though. I think as bad as a fork is for wings, it's better than chopsticks

Stocking up on some Christmas beer. They're 4 for the price of 3 at the moment so I'm getting 4 at a time.

Any reviews if you've tried any of these? (I've only tried a couple before)

Any recommendations based on what I seem to like?

when I watch the really shitty movie "hail Mary" starring Ryan gosling, to distract me from capitalism destroying the planet, and having destroyed my family already... I'm going to enjoy it, and think of my friend Mark who loves this kind of stuff

in my fantasy, i'd see it with Mark in the theater, in one of those that sprays you with water, and shakes your seat to enhance the experience. and we'd have dinner at outback with his family and we'd talk politics and his whole family would laugh at me for being communist

but in reality I'm just too scared to leave my house

the book was really enjoyable. so was the Martian. the writer is a total hack, but can distract me from the torture of exitsance for a while

did he write that one about the girl on the moon too? that was good too.

sorry drunk post. one glass of wine. got me shitfaced lol

I need Bryce young to get at least 8 points less than mccaffrey in ppr fantasy tonight. my life savings depends on it

The audiobook is a 10/10, amazing performance.

yeah both audiobooks are great.. and the moon girl audiobook is great too!!! famous narrator. I can't remember her name rn. but she is awesome. Rosario Dawson? whoever she is, she did great!

speaking of audiobooks... "the emperor" series about julius Cesar is great! really awesome narrator for first two books, and then switches to a **** narrator?!?!?!?!?! ****!

one of the great tragedies of my life

I just finished Powers & Thrones by Dan Jones and plan to head on into The Plantagenets and The Wars of the Roses.

Right now I'm in the middle of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell which is interesting but hasn't exactly grabbed me by the throat yet.

Have I even mentioned by favorite narrator of all time is Bill Homewood? If you want to listen to any Dumas or Les Miserables, highest recommendation. He is fluent in French and those books are full of French words and names.

That sounds awesome!

How are you too anxious to go to Outback but have no problem going to Commerce and having to interact with way more people. Most who want to take all your money?

wow bill homewood is great! just checking him out. maybe i'll get his les mis

I think my favorite narrator is Carey mulligan. she hasn't done much.

also Kristen bell did a Veronica Mars book, and the book is great! and of course the narration is great. if you like Veronica Mars series, I highly recommend at least the first audiobook. there is a second audiobook I liked a lot too. different narrator, which takes some getting used to. but I loved her too

probably cuz casino is something i've done a million times, so it's old hat by now.

social situations are just a whole different thing

lunch?

more like brunch

The person hosting our family Thanksgiving traditionally does the turkey, which always makes sense - who wants to tote a turkey anywhere?

I got a text earlier today from this years host - a first timer - asking what was needed to make gravy other than the drippings.

I am slightly concerned.

I am going to my babymamas for thxgiving, I hear they are having salmon and ham and I asked babymama to make banana pudding.

I know holiday menus can be controversial, but I will never hate on anyone who passes on turkey for Thanksgiving. I get why some people don't care for it.

Now if it were Tofurky, we might have words.

(sorry VR)

Tofurky

Babymama is in fact a lifelong vegetarian, it's only because of my daughter that there will be meat courses.

Tofurky, well prepared, is delicious and a small ethical company too.

Sadly if reheated in the microwave it is like eating shoe leather. But it sandwiches well and I think would probably be great reheated simmering in veggie broth too.

Tofurky for the win.

never understood the movement to try to replicate meat with non meats

there's amazing vegetarian and vegan options out there - much rather just eat that then ultra processed stuff shaped in a factory to look like something we supposedly hate the idea of actually eating

I understand it!

happy genocide day pog!
